mercibeate
Hi Friends, I'm new to the HD300 having just traded up from a Digitech Valve FX! Using the Edit program, after I've tweaked a patch's effects parameters, I go back up and change the amp type using the rotary wheel. After changing the amp, I notice that all of the effects/settings below change along with the amp. That is not my intention. Is there a way to "fix" or lock the effects settings so that I can experiment with different amp tones and not lose the effect settings I've just established? Thanks for any suggestions you can provide. SR
silverhead
Yes. There is a global setting in the Setup menus that controls this behaviour. I forget exactly what it's called, but you can change the setting so that the current FX settings remain when you switch the amp. Look for this setting in Setup. mercibeate
Many thanks, UG. I'll look for that in the setup. I appreciate your tip.
BillBee
Hi Friends, I'm new to the HD300 having just traded up from a Digitech Valve FX! Just had to say Hi to a fellow Valve FX guy! Still love that chrome beast! Regards! Bill
mercibeate
Hi Bill, Yes, the VFX is a very cool unit. Do you still have yours? There is one factory patch I'm trying to replicate: Pedal Synth. Do you have any thoughts on setting up something like that on the HD300? Thanks for the shout out. BillBee
Yep still have it. Most of the labels have worn off and the pots are scratchy but it still sounds good - like a mini 2101. I do remember the pedal synth - that was the pitch harmonizer - I think. To be honest I would try to find a similar patch on Custom Tone and tweak it from there. I've not screwed around too deeply with the HD for the synth tones. There are some guys here who are awesome at it though so if you get stuck pop up a post and see what they say. -Bill
