just got my m13 couple of hours ago. so im really new to this. I would like to ask if i could use fv500 H to control my volume and when stepped, be used as a expression pedal?pls help me before i buy a BOSS FV500 . what should I use, FV500 H or L? some suggested H, and others L. "H" has 3 jacks. input output and exp. "L" has 5 jacks, 2 inputs, 2 outputs and 1 exp. thank you so much for your help.

So I bought an M-Audio EX-P expression pedal mainly because there are NO EX-1 pedals in my area!!!

1st thing I n oticed was the inherent problem...would NOT fully sweep!!!

So I took it apart and attempted the MOD.

It's SIMPLE and works PERFECTLY!!!

Right after the 1st pot theres a tiny  little board with a 1k resistor (TINY RESISTOR!!!) located at the top. I simply bridged that resistor by adding a wire between it's 2 points and WHALLAH!!! The pedal now works FLAWLESSLY!

I'm going to get another as I need 2 for my M13.... and total cost for TWO will be $60!!!

I am RELY GLAD I gave the EX-P and MOD a go!!!

PS- LUVIN' THE M13~~~!!!

Old thread I know, but I tried the Ernie Ball 25K ohm pedal, and while it worked 95% of the time, there were times when the M13 didn't know it was there.  Those times were pretty annoying.  I switched to the Line 6 pedal and haven't had any issues.

I've bought the Roland EV-5, but it can't do the full sweep: it stops at 95% of the sweep.

Is there any solution?

Regarding the M-Audio EXP and it's compatibility with the M9, clipping the 1k resistor and replacing with wire or solder does fix the sweep issue on this pedal...just did it.  It doesn't however alleviate the reverse sweep on the wah.  You can set the sweep parameters each time pretty easily but the default sweep is reviersed for some reason until you manually set it in the wah effect.  I assume this isn't the case with the pedals on the true compatibility list.  --r

Just wanted to update ya guys who love the feel and response of an EB.  While the 25k can work it still has an un-uniformed audio taper and because of it being 25k the last quarter of your sweep doesn't even do anything.  Our line uses our custom designed 10k pots and while they work perfectly with Line 6, with a flip of the mode toggle you can use them in voltage control mode so it will be compatable with multiple other pedals.  You can get more details at http://thru-tone.com and feel free to email with any questions at justin@thru-tone.com

I just got my m-13 and have spent several hours on it so far and have only got a couple patches that I sort of like.  Does this thing come with some basic factory patches? Eric Johnson sound, chorus, delay, dist, etc patches already set up?  I'm not finding combinations that are sounding good to me.  HELP!  Somebody give me some patches or scenes....whatever they are called... I'm 64 and afraid I may die before I figure this thing out.....fusionkw
