If your Princeton has an effects loop, you can plug the Pod Go into the effects return (With Pod Go’s amp model on and cab off). If you are plugging into the front guitar input of the Princeton, or an amp that doesn’t have an effects loop, it will be doubling up on the preamp stage, which is where that extra treble comes from. For that setup you need to turn the Princeton’s treble to zero (but mids and bass as normal) This has worked well on my Blues Junior.

My HD500X has also started randomly rebooting. I don't have a Variax . . .just playing a Strat into guitar in 1, and monitoring with headphone output. Sometimes it lasts a half hour or more before rebooting, and sometimes it will reboot a couple of times in a row. The light on the power supply STAYS ON when the unit reboots, and the other equipment on that same power outlet stays on.
