  5. This is what I came up with. Use the wah pedal to help get the sound. http://line6.com/customtone/tone/240428/
  6. Lets start here you post the tone you have, I'll load it and take it as far as I can in the direction you want to go.
  7. Wow great response! I will start working on them asap in the order they were received. One thing to note, I'm almost certain the tones will only get you close because none of us have the same gear. I am playing A Buildanax strat www.buildanax.com mahogany body maple neck with Lincoln Brewster pick ups. I run from the guitar into the pod out stereo to a Carvin TS100. http://www.carvinguitars.com/products/TS100. It's a tubed stereo power amp. Mine has EL34's. From there to two 8 ohm line 6 speakers from an old Flextone II XL. So unless you have the same gear it will not sound the same as what I'm hearing when I create the tones. With that said. I'll get started. Also I may not use the amp that the guitarist uses. ie George Lynch uses some Laney amp heads on "Under lock and key". Line 6 has no version of that amp. So many time I use the best tools I have to get the tone. MY EARS! Even though the amp model, or pedal model may not be what the original guitarist used, I go for the tone, not the pic. So know I will get to work. I love the youtube vids. I run in stereo. Please let me know if you're in mono or stereo, I'll try to use the same setting as you do. Also I have my global out put set on studio. That way I get the most out of the speaker modeling capabilities. I hope this helps. GC P.S. George Lynch fans check this out. http://www.gearslutz.com/board/high-end/77436-george-lynch-tone.html
  8. If you have a guitarist tone that you just want to nail, let me know I will help you get there. To get the tone load a vid off of youtube so I can hear the tone. We'll go from there. GC
  9. Watched some Daniel Carson vids on you tube. http://youtu.be/exFZgiGABCg And this guy does a great tutorial as well. I have the tone to our God but for some reason I can't upload. I keep getting Error 15624. I hope this helps.
  10. One thing that sucks about PodHD customtone is you can't even share what guitar or pickups you're using like you could with older products. You can't share the guitarist you're going for band, song, style nothing just the patch.
  11. As far as fuzz and hum check your hum setting on amp edit. Especially if you're using a patch from customtone. You can adjust hum to any tone. Why someone would want hum I'll never know, but you can have it if you want it. I always use a noise gate on all my presets. I have even experimented with two back to back. One set with threshold @ 20% and Decay @ 0 and the next with slightly higher threshold @ 30% and decay @ 100%. Most of the time I use 40 - 50 % threshold and 0% decay. This gives you a low amount of fuzz and hum from the guitar and keeps you from knowing you have the gate on. I like the tube comp as well. I use it to get a bit more drive out of most amps. I use it with 10-35% threshold and 10-35% Level.
  12. If you are using hiway 100 go to amp edit toggle right amp edit 2/5 master volume is preset at 50% raise it to 100% you will get more distortion from it so you may need to lower the drive once you reset it but you will get more volume. As well you may need to take the step of readjusting all other amp volumes like everyone is saying. Good luck.
  13. Name a song cause there are so many tones to choose from between albums. Big difference between keep the faith and these days. So please mention a specific song that you're going for or at lest one album. GC
