I strongly believe that the 700's latest version had the best acoustics, and the worse are the jtv's 2.0
-
Hell, after installing the graphtec to my V700 the sounds gone even better! The tones become more bright and vivid (although the Les Paul standard become a bit usseles, replace the bank with a custom only), the acoustics sounded far better even from the JTV 2.0!!!I love my 700, is the best guitar I ever had...

Guys. as for me, the new 2.0 strato sounds like the jtv 69s mags...In that case the emulation is very good, 9.5/10.Now, if thw jtv 69s is simpy a stratocaster with the line 6 brand and design, I don't know...
Oh, and before people put some fire to me, the video that compares the jtv mags with the new 2.0 strat is WAY accurate....

Phil_m, for a person who doesn't have a jtv and is not sure if he want to buy a new one, the best way is to check to a store. If this is no possible, same in greece, therefore the best way to check is via youtube. And the videos that we upload (speak for the line6ers) are really valid...
I agree with hurghanico that ver. 1.9 is superior sonically, more useable guitars in there for me, but technology goes forward, I follow...
Nothing personal with you Phil_m

Check that:
Battery is inside, charged.
The 1/4 cable IS connected
Volume is up.

By the way, the blood red is finally the best color from the JTVs...

Oh my...These curves...This body...There are many times I believe the 700 is better than a woman...

From what I can listen yes, the 2.0 is better on palm muting than 1.9. But still not perfect.Nevertheless, the Les paul is great for metal now.

Great tones coming from my HD to the flextone when i use the direct, with the 4cm
-
try on custom tone! http://line6.com/customtone/

Yep, the most unfortunate thing for me was the les paul custom that is missing :(
-
Size of hole is 9mm.. That's all i know!

Use a panner effect and mute the other channel..it has the triangle wave u need.
-
Had the same problem, but when I tune down instead of up.Never fixed, I just change pick ups on the neck position.

Yes you need to register to download.

I believe only me and hurghanico will be for the 700..
I also never had problems with the tuning.

For all of the above, exept the tone (for realism) , the best choice is the old 700...
The soul is better on 700 too...

The sound, the design, the feeling, the look...
What is better? Vote and say!

Hahhahahahahahaha, perfect!!!

I would say that the jazzies got better on th v.2 IMHO, but all in all, v.1.9 was better...I try to udjust on v.2 for the moment..

hurghanico, about the 700...Comparing the jtv with the 700 is 2 different worlds.Sure the electronics of the 700 were not supperior of the jtv, but there was not any lag at all...And the feel of the guitar (700) was much more better that the jtv.Although the sound of the jtv captures the correct tones of the modeled guitars, the 700 captured the soul of the guitars..You know it is not a stratocaster, but is the soul of the strat, and in some tonalities better and worse than the strat...700 had it's own character...
And the acoustics (for me) were much more better than the jtv's...And the feel of the 700.. O my god...so nice...I spent countless hours with it...As for the pick ups that not exist, for me it was better, it gave a unique character to the guitar..
For the point:
JTV 2.0 is more realistic sounded than the 1.9, but after downgrading to 1.9 and comparing, i found that the 1.9 is better than the 2.0..
At least (for me) I have more sounds to use.

By the way, the 1.7 firmware on jtv sounded much more different than the 700's
