  1. Hello All, I need some help or direction. Here is what I have done and what I have tried. I have a HD500 and have had it sinde Oct 2010. I have had very few issues with the unit and/or HDedit. I have tried 3 different computers with Windows 7 on a desktop, laptop and on a windows tablet with Windows 8 Pro. I can update the JTV-89 through monkey via my HD500 and it flashes flawlessly or at least I think. I have flashed my JTV now 5 times and each time I get the same results that the flash was successfull. One other thing I noticed. I tried flashing without the 500 and could never get it to reflash JTV with the Line USB hub with both green lights on each side. It will always errors. Not sure of the error code number but I can get it to be successfull via the 500. Now since the HD500 cannot be a controller/updater for Workbench HD, I know that I need the JTV usb hub attached so I can open Workbench HD. Now before I start I have green lights on both side on all of my Line 6 JTV USB hub. I downloaded the mags bank and opened/loaded it into custom 1. All looks good so far. All my 89 mags are back but every model has the 89 Bridge? When I try to change it back to 89 Neck it looks like it goes but if I re sync that JTV I get really weird model names and the 89 bridge is still attached not the 89 neck. So, I re-flashed again back to 2.0 and I tried on a single model to tweak it a little and it will do the same thing? The point of the story is that I cannot use Workbench HD? I would really like to use Workbench HD and 2.0 and do not want to go back to 1.9 because the models were in custom bank 1. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. I never tried it again after my reflash last night it was to late. It works correctly now. Thanks for the help.
  3. I tried to send them 1 at a time (upload to variax) and upload All. I can probably reproduce it but I haven't tried again after the reflash. I am going to try it again.
  4. Didn't even notice that button. I was so focused on the ribbon. Thanks Phil.
  5. Hi Phil, I am new to the JTV (yes I got the $699 JTV-89). Very nice guitar. Anyway, I got my hub to go green on each side and workbench HD to run. I downloaded the 89 mags from the link and was able to load them into custom 1. I think I have tried everything possible to get even one 89 model to stay in that bank. Is there a special button push or dial I need to dial on the guitar for the model to stay? I had to re-flash my guitar last night to get my models back. I have a funny screen shot of what my guitar looked like after I trtied to load the 89 mags but I have no idea how to upload an image to the forum?
  6. Wow. The new Workbench looks sweet..... Thanks for the screen shot. I will give workbench a try tonight.
  7. Thank you Zap! I never got the JTV usb hub/device to correclty install on my computer or for both sides/lights to go green. It sounds like the 1/4" jack fix is the key. I have been using the 500 as the usb interface for the JTV since I got my JTV last month. I guess I have to get it setup or I can't use workbench anymore. (not that I did anything in workbench anyway)
  8. So, to get this straight... We can't use the POD500 to update the JTV or does this only pertain to the Workbench application? Ed.
  9. I have to say thanks for the link as well. I have wanted a JTV for a long time but couldn't justify the $1400.00 price tag. I would have preferred the 59 but I couldn't pass up the technology at this price. This guitar reminds me of my Jackson Dinky so I picked one up.
