Sucks to be waiting that long. I can only imagine I probably won't see my pre-ordered and paid for Rack and Control till next March up in Canada. I paid for it in full because my retailer usually moves the fully paid orders first as has been my experience in the past.

I keep hearing S-Gear is really nice. Haven't tried it yet. My have to have a listen to it. It seems to be very well received. Bias FX really shines when you turn off the cab emulations and run a plugin like Two-Notes Wos-III. The sound is amazing at that point! For the time being since I have sold my interface, I run the Apogee Jam 96K. It's a decent interface for this and works just fine. Like you, I'm hoping the Helix does it all for me, tone wise. Hopefully we will get some new clips up as folks receive them. I have a Rack and Control on order and can't wait for them to arrive!

I have a Torpedo Live and I have a Helix Rack and Control on order. Torpedo is a fabulous product. However, now that my amp and cab are gone, I probably won't have a need for it at this time. I also have the Wos-III plugin which would get you the same result when running direct through the Helix usb, so I can always use that.

So, I notice a wall wart 9vdc plug on the back of the Helix control. Uggh. Not what I was expecting. In any case, though, there would need to be power to run all of those beautiful scribble strips. What is the mv requirement for that connection? I have a Pedal Power digital so I'm hoping it isn't more than 500mv. If that works then I am golden as I'll use it to power my tuner, line buffer and Digitech drop pedal.

Having run Bias Amps pro on the desktop and IOS and Bias FX on the IOS setup, I can honestly say it surpasses the previous Line 6 PodHD Pro stuff from what I hear. You have to know how to setup the dual amps and run through with an effect in front of the second amp. This gives it a spacial effect similar to the headphone space in the Kemper. It really sounds fabulous. I'm hoping my Helix rack sounds great and looking forward to it!

The stone picks look really interesting! Do they have a kind of annoying chirp sound that you get with some of the other materials when used as picks or can one even tell the difference? Always interested in trying something new....

Really excited about the Helix having the USB interface built in like that. At this point, I won't need to buy another interface as I was going to do initially. Saves me a bunch of $$$ and excess gear. I can use that for something else. I just hope my rack unit and control doesn't take until next year to arrive! :angry: ;)

Personally, after having so many different modelling pieces of gear of the years now, I'm kind of glad to be able to do some easy editing right on the box. That computer is really going to come in handy when you are at a gig and suddenly have to make some drastic changes for whatever reason. Love what I am seeing and hearing this far and really excited about everything EXCEPT for the damn wait for the rack and control. Seriously gents....lets get moving on that, please! I don't want to be waiting until January for mine up here! ;)

I've had several Kemper units over the years. Just don't like them either. Had issues with two of them (LED's on the early batch and the other was shutting down without warning) Can't wait for the Helix!
