Yep thats what I thought...cubase has it as well Yeah thats not going to work as the feel at each gig is different and I normally tap tempo...its usually within a couple of beats but its incredible how that changes...its normally set by what you feel in the crowd/audience. On top of that add the micro groove and if you are tired...playing a couple of ms behind etc Thanks anyway. Ideally would love to be able to patch stuff between plugins really but I just left a vote for helix native to do that...if it did I would set up a mini pc rig instead of Helix for sure

The stomp is for driving ableton and a couple of midi functions...the snapshots are for...well just helix stuff If only they had gestures...oh if only...20 years after they became cool :-) I do oem work...I literally have about 12 controllers for testing and researching...very wide ranging... If only I could buy the brain of the mc8 and put it into the helix... Also have the modulation setup, clarity and function of Guitar Rig...still top of the heap all this time on...but limited in other ways It simply needs to be put together like a eurorack of plugins eg Freestyle and then load back into a hardware pedal...bit like irig had a go at...that was very cool

I have my helix setup for 10 stomps and the alternate page ie presets shows the snapshot Does anyone know a backdoor to have the snapshot mode, momentarily jump to a particular snapshot and then return back after the switch release? I need to do freezes on delay and splashes etc (think Rolling Stones/Undercover)...and there are a number of parameters switching so snapshots seem the right solution...but is there no other way as I dont want to use any of the stomp switches. If it had gesture handling as in midi...the press could select the alternate SS and the release could select the original

Based on my previous thread...am trying to get pretty much Left Side Delay 3 x 16ths (Dotted 8th right?) Right Side Delay 6 x 16ths (Dotted 1/4 right) Either Ableton is wrong of the delays in Helix are wrong when I try and set the same...as they sound rhythmically completely different...unless I have the above interpretation wrong Also: there seems to be no obvious way of getting dotted triplets?

I normally use this 'Live' lol when Im doing percussion and its probably the best for rhythmic stuff...but I was experimenting and this is wild on guitar...have to say and just the right balance of parameters to keep it simple and useable Anyone got any stuff like it? (realising you would have to use a couple of blocks to get it)...I think the filter is patched internally only on the delay path so its continually filtering the feedback loop so its pseudo tape as well. Specifically: A ping pong delay with 2 channels (using a button to enable ping pong/stereo) Channels can be linked Each channel has the usual beat/ms + an offset delay (in %)/channel that is not part of the link Feedback has a freeze button Filter in feedback path...gritty with the usual freq/width, along with LFO with beat/hz for freq, field for filter depth AND field delay depth/time (so the LFO can simultaneously mod the overall delay time) Equivalent of 'mode where jumps/changes in delay eg note values create different ways for the tail to transition. Fade = Normal, Jump (obvious) AND Pitch where it creates the tape inertia change etc Stereo spread control (not in ableton plug) I know there are bits and pieces in helix but this is a simple best of features imvho It is actually a very close model of using 2 x Ibanez DM1000 delay in parallel OR If I have missed something in the Helix collection...gurus please point me to the read :-)

Yep have done that twice already... I have owned it for a while and even the hd500 was hard on the toe switch re pressing hard You dont have to do firmware to test software function though... To hardwire to exp 1, you simply plug an unconnected 6.35 jack into the exp 2 socket and it will force exp 1 onto the helix pedal

So along with the headphone op amp seemingly dying, now the exp2 pedal no longer cycles back to 1 using toe switch. I then did a full reset and no change to behaviour I just want to make music and do my job...not crap around with issues...am I missing some hidden procedure...maybe walking backwards around it and doing some chant??? Where do I start? EDIT: To be clear This happens on a full and complete reset; COMPLETE reset I do not have any external pedals or foot switches connected in any way I have the latest firmware installed 3.6-e171dae

Yeah...it does..but seems whoever was delegated to the code/brief...they really couldnt have understood the need/function re: snapshots...absolutely Just basic library functions would be nice to have a matrix view in command centre too...like the matrix for controller on the edit page

I must have got a lemon. I had the phantom power fail when I had a dynamic plugged in, engaged the p48 (accidentally but seriously should not have affected it...45 years of studio experience, even accidentally plugging ribbons and NEVER one issue) and it immediately died. So Im about to fix that...such a serious design flaw...check the net for the amount of complaints. NOW Im listening through cans at times and the right channel starting crackling in and out...then left channel only. Yeah Yeah...Ive read a heap of articles and it would appear to def be the opamp as its not uncommon AS WELL! Does anyone know the chip or replacement resource? Cheers

Yeah thats not the issue; there is a software design oversight when you click 'copy all' and it doesnt copy all Workarounds like this are pretty poor tbh (but I appreciate your reply); using native doesnt even let you edit the command centre stuff at all If I copy a preset is kinda pointless as I simply want to add repetitive functionality to a preset which is reasonably common I simply need to paste a command centre preset as per expected functionality Cheers

As mentioned on the other feature category...there is a bug with login where if you originally logged in using FB, fb is now broken but remembers your email address which you cant use to log in or create a new account :( Before any of that though...a simple table advising what does and does not get copied would be pretty helpful and save a lot of time Yeah, I use only snapshots instead for sound control and stomp for Ableton/guitar synth and external gear because the midi cc's etc from the 6 switch looper are pretty well useless for controlling anything external (I put in a feature suggestion for a null looper here but cant log in to ideascale). This layout (snaps/stomp) works ok but I then need the command centre/stomps on every preset and when you paste all to another preset, it drops a lot of info eg names, colours etc if that makes sense In reality...snapshots are a bit half baked...for them to work well, you need to be able to choose which actual numbered snapshot a parameter listens to (or All) and each stomp needs multi state...then we would be cooking with gas!

Yeah but when I go to login or create a new account it says my email is already used by an fb login. If Im going to maintain comms with ideascale then Im not keen on making another account...i have scrapped all my others and just have 1 now I know I can dot but I was hoping I could do it more simply...anyway doesnt matter I guess...Im probs a fringe user and unusual in my use case Cheers @datacommando

I have finalised command centre foot switches etc to (finally) be reasonably usable and I need to transfer them to all my (used) presets In the menu items there is 'Copy/Paste/All' but this does not copy names, led colours etc How is this simple task done? What am I missing here? Cheers

FEATURE SUGGESTION - Add foot switch capability to EXPR 2 & 3 One of the cool things about eg Guitar Rig Controller (and a lot of others) is the flexibility of input for foot switches. Being able to add eg silent switches etc would be a very simple but helpful addition...for those that know :-) Currently I can only see TRS exp pedal and commensurate controller assignments

FEATURE SUGGESTION - Looper Null Block Would be so helpful to have a looper null block, where it doesnt use the internal looper but allows phantom operation. What I mean is you would assign eg 'External Looper' instead of 6 switch. Then assign the bypass as normal but instead of going to as FS page with the internal looper parameters, it would be the full 8 switches with user definable functions, identical to command centre

FEATURE SUGGESTION - USB Channels as FX/LOOP/SENDS This would allow integration of those using eg Ableton to send out simply. I am doing this currently but it is klunky when it could be so much improved by this feature

FEATURE SUGGESTION - Midi Synth Would be AMAZING to be able to use the power of eg poly type pitch modules and have them convert to midi much like MIDI Guitar 2...AMAZING...would simplify these setups so much

FEATURE SUGGESTION - Multi State Buttons eg I dedicate Delay to FS3 for everything unit I use...but I have setup up command centre to have a press = Snapshot3 and hold = Snapshot4 so it focuses variations on a single FS. A quick press simulates the most accessed 'settings' and the hold simulates the idea of 'more' so this snapshot has more feedback/mix etc Ultimately I would like my 'Delay' FS to be able to command a bit more flexibly 1 quick press = default (SS1) 1 hold, cycle to next deeper level 1 hold again, cycle to deepest level Double click to bypass This would hugely benefit when doing impro as you are looking to explore and not do karaoke based playing...

FEATURE SUGGESTION - Refining snapshots ATM a snapshot affects every parameter assigned to ANY snapshot It would be very helpful to be able to set parameters that are assigned to snapshots to have further scoping ie to either 'snapshot(All)' or a particular snapshot eg Snapshot(3) This would greatly simplify and allow much tighter organisation and management

FEATURE SUGGESTION - Midi gestures/behaviours for footswitches For command centre, please implement gestures/actions. Please refer to current implementations by eg Morningstart MC8 which are exemplary at getting the best out of the floor board This would truly add huge value for anyone looking to streamline or simply more muscle memory based gestures instead of tap dancing over the helix during gigs

I thought I had seen a table with this but seems it might have been a dream I am using command centre to control Ableton...am wanting to send midi back from control surface script for basic like show the LED ring of the Play/Button as red/green ie feedback from Live > Helix Anyone else used this previously?
