  1. Of course - though just trying to avoid extra gear in the chain. I already have a complex live stage setup and not looking to add anything to it. Not a huge issue. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a way to use the FX loop globally. Thx
  2. Thanks - though I still can't add it to the presets as it's a 6 track Looper and I need to change presets between tracks. Having the output in the preset chain will make the looper dropout (hiccup) while changing Presets. It would only work if I were only using Snapshots, but with the complexity of some of my presets, that's not possible.
  3. I simply want to add an Aeros Looper into the end of the chain, but I don't want it to hiccup if I change presets. While I'm currently running the output of the Helix into the Aeros, and then out to the mixer from there, the Aeros I/O isn't balanced, and I'd prefer to use the balanced outs of the Helix for longer output runs. If I add the Aeros to FX Send preset chains, I'd have to do it for every preset, and I'd get an audible hiccup from the Aeros when changing presets (which I need to do within single Looper sessions). Not a huge issue - but just wondering if there is a way to use the Helix FX Send at the end of the chain as a global setting. It doesn't appear to be possible but thought I'd validate.
  4. I changed the neck. Now, where is that confounded neck...? <no answer needed>
  5. Where can I find the serial number on my Variax 300 to register it?
  6. So - my 300 died in the middle of playing it the other night. Tested power supply, with a battery, etc - nothing. It stuttered a bit before finally going, so I'm concerned the circuit board went. Need to get it back up and running asap. Is there anywhere I can buy a 300 circuit board?
  7. Just got a Helix and love it, but I need to connect it into my stage rig that includes midi routing through an ICA4+, though the ICA4 doesn't recognize the Helix over USB midi. My rig includes several external USB midi controllers and a couple of ipads I use for soft synths and setlist management. Some of the tests I've run: Connected the Helix to my Mac, where I can validate the Helix is sending and receiving midi as expected Tested all my other USB midi controllers through my ICA4 with no problem. All are recognized Took the same USB cable I had connected to the Helix and connected it up to an FBV Shortboard set up in midi mode. As soon as I connect that up, it works fine with the ICA4 and I'm immediately able to monitor midi data coming from it. So I know the Helix is sending midi, I know the ICA4 is receiving midi (using a monitor app that will see any and all data coming in), and I have validated the cable is good. It's only the Helix into the ICA4. Anyone know what might cause this? Does anyone else use the Helix and ICA4+ that can validate the same thing? I am able to use standard MIDI DIN cables to connect, as the ICA4+ has Midi DINs, which does work - but I would prefer to use USB.
  8. So - did you make any progress here? Very interested in how doable this is.
