thanx for the help and advice cruisinon2. i guess i'll have to get to know Workbench. oh well , at least it sounds like it will be worth it in the long haul.

my new jtv89f came with all of the alternate tunings out of whack. the only settings that seem ok are in the acoustic bank .. all the others are screwy ... mainly the high e string sounds sharp on everything ... depending on which model bank and which alt tuning , there are various strings out of pitch .. but mainly the high e string on every thing i try. i haven't done anything to it myself .... i don't understand why it came like this ... i have downloaded the Workbench stuff , but i haven't had a chance to get familiar with all that stuff yet .... i don't really get into the techie geeky tweak stuff ... i'm more of a presets guy ... my XT live has more presets than i'll ever use i would happy with whatever firmware settings it was supposed to be shipped with.. i wonder has anyone else experienced this problem.... i would hate for the guitar to be defective how do i get these default settings working right ? is there a way to reset this thing to what it was supposed to be.... without having to spend 2 weeks learning how to use Workbench ?

thanx for the response guys... i can hardly wait for it to get here.... as long as i'm here , i might as well ask about the action and playability... i really like a low easy action ..... can this guitar be set up like that ?

is the 89f trem system a good one ? i have a new 89f on the way coming from Sweetwater.com . the only trem i have ever used is the one on my Fender mim Strat. i was doing a little web surfing and i am starting to get the impression that a lot of "licensed by" Floyd Rose trems aren't very good. is the FR system on the JTV 89f a descent one ?
