So I tried today.. FX send into a zoom g5 ( pedal} out to 2 studio monitors and ampfi. For my acuostic sound Sounds good Now my heavy patch is done I want to step on pedal for just fx send and same pedal to turn on or off my dual tone,, can I use one pedal to switch between the 2 ''' hope some one understands what I am talking about FAX loop send on or off Same pedal 2 Dual amps on off same pedalf

OK my set up is not working for me all this gear jvt 89 , pod 500x, 2 Dt25 , amplfi ,zoom g5,ect deep breath. Starting over OK step one I want to use the amplfi 150 for a full range acoustic sound So from my pod 500 fx send out to the amplfi My question is where do I put the Fx block , useing no amp model , before speaker, after speaker, after mixer? So I will just use the fx block on and off when I use acoustic. the acoustic sounds are better then the dt Then o will deal with the dts

I would use a gate not worry about sustain but if you are use the blue comp it has sustain there, you might want to lower your pick ups and drive also Good luck

Thanks for that . I want to maybe use it for the acoustic sounds, so would I get like a mixer amp and plug the fx loop send from pod in to the mixer. Seems like over kill. I have amplfi 150 maybe that would be easier. It's a shame to pass on that big new speaker but I just don't know what to do with it.

Can i use a large jbl with 2 x 12 it is passive, i was thinking of plunging into the back of my dt 25, will i wreck some thing, i have a chance to buy a new 900 speaker for 100 bucks, am i crazy

well as i could not get a answer to my question i did more resherch and have come to the conclusion DR zebra electric acoustic strings would be the strings would be the ones to use combination of bronze and steel And to say there is not any difference in strings is like saying there is no difference in tires sure they all work but far form the same

is there a way to control the volume for the mags on the guitar ( tone knob) or is there a way to have the vdi and mags split ( 1/4 out vdi out) thanks

there ust be a set of strings that are better then the other especially with the pezio pick , what strings are you useing

So could i use the 1/4 input insted of the vdi so i could run some other pedals and still use the fx loop on pod, is there a diference between then 2

Well i am quite new at this dream rig thing, I wanted to send the 1/4 out to a totally diffenent path then the pod and dt, so useing the vdi would not work, so i can not do this? This rig is very comlacated, I want to use a full range speaker for my acoustic sounds and the 2 dt 25 for electric , i have 4 amps in total 2 dt 25s, amplfi 150, spider jam Pod vdi for dt 25 s 1/4 into spider jam for acoustic and looping along with amplfi Can this be done or am i wasteing my time Thanks

Yes would be great if it was thank easy, for some reason it wont work, dose the batty have to be in the guitar

I think there is the problem i cant seem to turn off the models, i really wanted to in the end send the 1/4 out to amp and the variax to the pod and dt, but i guess this is not possible

so i want to play my JTV like a normal guitar, just plug into a amp and play. but it seem that all the JTV processing come out the 1/4 out, i cant seem to find any thing on how to do this. i know the variax mags are passive so why cant i use them? thanks

Good for you for trying . In this day and age no output just makes line 6 look bad. My 150 is a dust collector I might hook it up to my TV. My fault for buying it might make a good studio monitor. I have all the line 6 gear but after this dsession I think I will start to spend my money on another brand. So you know 6 line you have lost a loyal costumer

I will try again i did already and it didn't work, the fx seting would be 0-0 max? And why then not put it at the end of the pod 500 chain? Have you used a looper and the pod?

I would like to use a looper and between the pod and amp would be the spot to put it but you say can't be done. I have dt amp amps, i tried the fx and that did not work out, tried 1/4 out to fx return, the only place it works is first pedal in to the pod. Works but you can't change chanals , So how would you hook a looper up to the pod pod- dt Tanks

So I just got the DT 25 to use with pod 500. For some reason the cab settings don't work. I can not hear any change in sound with any of the setting. Would a restart help and if I did a restart would I lose the new model packs. Thanks

Well I don't use all the blocks my thoughts on the pod eq is that they don't work for me and take away my tone . I like my rockatron guitar silencer but it cuts my sustain. I have been trying to work with the nose and hard gate but same thing hurts my tone. Also have tried the fx loop but dose not sound right. If you could tell me what your setting are for the gates and fx loop that might help. I am running 2 DT 25 and the pod so I can get most my tone with just the amps. Thanks

But the DT amps won't work as designed too.I might be wrong but what will be going on in full amp mode vs pre amp. I have tried some of the new amps not sure if it was worth buying I like the 120 and the acoustic but the 5150 and the others I am pretty sure o could dial in the sound with old models

so I jump on it and got the model packs, What a surprise to see the only 10 of the 24 amps have a pre amp, have 2 dt 25 amp and being told that pre amp is the way to use pod 500 and dt amp,,, this suck I will most likely return it ,, why did they do this? I will test the amps out but I have a feeling I could get any sound the new amp offer with out the up grade

Thanks save me messing around with it. So the effect loop would only work on one amp not both DT amps right
