I am surprised that there is no re-amping yet in HD 500x! Or am I wrong.The x3 has this capability.Is there any other option apart from send/return to another audio device & get it re-amped? BTW does the Helix have revamping capability?

The HD 500x is here & sure rocks.The heavier tones are impressive with good lows.However I like using tube amps or preamps for its sensitivity to my fingers. Trying your method I would like to use my AMT SS 11 preamp & see how it sounds.At present I tried hooking my guitar into AMT & then into the pod.Somehow it doesn't sound right even when I use the clean channel in the AMT.There is too much of hiss & exaggerated highs in the overall output.Using your method will I be able to keep the main amp model on the POD on,or will I have to disable it? Will it be overpowered by the AMT preamp? I tried your method with the elven rack & it was okay for some amp models but not for all though.

My HD500x is on the way.May I ask you what is Triaxis? How do I find it in the HD500x?

can someone tell me where exactly in the chain the preamp would be best.I tried going through the preamp & then into the POD but it doesn't sound quite right. Also give me tips on where modulation stomp boxes & distortions would fit in appropriately .Thanks

Glad that we have more amps now.I did like the 500 but preferred the X3 better & I still have the X3.

I just ordered my 500x.I had a 500 & sold it as I wasn't fully satisfied.Does the 500x also have only 30 amps on it? Do we have free access to the available model packs.I remember x3 owners had such privileges to upgrade freely to the model packs.Are the amps any different between the 500 & 500x Pods?

Can someone tell me how to get this guitar tone which is found on the song intro.I like that nasal sound.Is it neck pickup? What amp can bring that sound & what settings? Crank up the mids? I am presently using just the POD x3.

How can I set a doted eight delay setting on the SV effects? There are no quavers,semi ,demi whatever! I need some delay ideas for Hillsong,Chris Tom songs.

I would like to connect a timeline delay through the send/ return of the spider valve.I gues this is te power amp in/ out.However the manual states that connecting into the power amp in will disconnect the preamp tubes.Does that mean that the preamp valves will not be functioning when I do this? What will be the best way of connecting a delay so I can make use of other mod effects of the SV & have the delay at the tail end? Can someone pls expain. Thanks

Thanks.Is it true that the tubes work well only when the volume is high? I'm not into tube amps very much so just curious.Also I heard that disconnecting the speakers is a bad idea.Is it ok to connect the spider valve speakers to an external amp head by disconnecting from the Spider valve amp?If so do I need to have the Spider amp on or off?

Thanks.Yeah the direct output seems to be a good idea.I did not resort to it as I read that some of the tubes were passive during its operation.(Preamp tubes I guess).The direct output can be used even in standby mode?

Master volume on the L6 spider valve MK2 is no doubt a pain.L6 needs to have some mercy on those who paid a huge price only to end up unusable & dangerous for the ears.Mine has been siting at home for (y)ears! Can't use it for home recording either as we are advised not to disconnect the speakers & use it as amp head.Maybe a volume control fix is what is needed as someone suggested here.L6 ought to give us a free fix & supply those controls.Such a shame,a great amp ends up being a great pain !

I have a Roland GR55 which has no send or return.However the amp that I would be plugging (Spider valve & a Peavey amp Valve King) does have a send & return input.Now if I connect a distortion stomp box via the send/return inputs will the distortion be placed before or after the GR55.Is there anyway I can change thel rig order so the distortion is connected before the GR? I won't be able to do this any other way since the GR55 needs a v different type of cable.

Here is a link for a tone similar to what I am looking for from the X# or Spider valve. Of course this tone can be refined with added sustain.But I love that nasal tubey sound. What amp models would best suit? How do i get this tone & eq setting. My eleven rack SS Solo (Soldano) sounds similar & far better too. If anyone can share their x3 or spider valve tones that are similar,please do.

Hello all, SPider valve is my fav amp,but too heavy to carry around & too loud to control.So it pretty much sits at home.However I am trying to use it for my home studio with a direct output.Doesn't really sound too good although I tried both output options.This maybe because I keep the master volume & channel vol v low.I was wondering if I can disconnect the speakers (I see a connection for speakers in the back panel), & crank it up.Is this ok/possible/harmless ? Will that drive the tubes enough to get a good tone?
