  1. yup, this is noise in the power line. probably from all the cheap lollipop switching power supplies in basically everything ever.
  2. Add XLR and 1/4" outs to the sends list on the Send/Return block to prevent wasted DSP when trying to send cab sim only to XLR out, as shown here.... http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Send-To-XLR-and-1-4-from-Send-Return-Block/827623-23508 They could also fix this by being able to route things between A and B paths more than once or more flexibly.
  3. I've spent many hours this week trying to do exactly that ricksteruk and I did get very close to having something I could maybe use. There are a few other stumbling blocks I've run into aside from not being able to do "scenes" as cattlerancher describes it. I've had to tie up an entire line of DSP blocks in order to be able to send a cab sim to XLR for front of house and no cab sim to my 1/4" outs for my stage use with amp and cab. This wouldnt be a problem if i could route between the parallel DSP paths more than once but it seems as though that's not possible for some reason. I've made one of those Ideascale thingies to try and get XLR outs added to sends list here: http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Send-To-XLR-and-1-4-from-Send-Return-Block/827623-23508 Thanks for the help.
  4. If you drag both A/B/Ymixer blocks down to the second path it disconnects the first one an shows it as a separate in/out and then when you drag the second one down the path will disappear altogether unless you have blocks on it.
  5. Hope someone can help here... Is there any way to assign momentary control changes for the same parameter (for example the gain on an amp sim) to multiple buttons with different values being applied on each different different button press by setting the min and max values equal to the desired value for each parameter on a momentary switch? I just bought a Helix a couple of days ago and after programming and experimenting for a few days and even attempting a full blown rehearsal with it, I pretty much can't find any way to replicate the same signal path for performances I've been using on my X3s without experiencing huge dropouts when switching between presets which will genuinely destroy certain important sections of the shows I'm performing. The only workaround I could think of was to load every effect I normally enable/disable via preset change in a show into one massively complicated preset and then use momentary control changes to reconfigure all the parameters for the sounds I use in realtime, utilizing the mix and level parameters to blend in and out the various effects and applying new volume and gain settings to amp sims etc. otherwise this device is basically unusable to me for performances. Here's an example of what I'm looking to set up; Button 1 - Applies preset's default parameters for all parameters edited by buttons 2, 3 & 4 allowing you to return to where you started without reloading the preset. Button 2 - Sets the mix on a delay block to 45%, sets the Chan Vol of an amp sim to 7.5, sets the Gain of an amp sim to 2, sets the Chan Vol of a parallel amp sim to 0. Button 3 - Sets the Gain of an amp sim to 4, sets the Chan Vol of a parallel amp sim to 0, sets the gain of a TS808 to 3, mix on a Chorus to 25%, mix on a Reverb to 20%. Button 4 - Sets the output Level on both 1/4" and XLR outs +3dB, sets mix on a Delay to 40%, sets mix on a Reverb to 35% I also couldn't find a way to enable or disable a block via control changes either so if anyone knows how to set up either of these functions can you tell me how to do it? I really like the sounds this box can make so I don't want to have to return it and go back to the X3 just because of dropouts between presets...
