  2. well, now its being announced again, and im jumping up and down :) , but i cant seem to find the update file... anyone else being able to find and download it? new faders!!!.. whowhooo..cant wait! :) :) :)
  3. copied from specs information from this site: 20 inputs: 18 analog and 2 digital 12 high-performance, digitally controlled, auto-sensing mic/line inputs 4 additional auto-sensing balanced line inputs dont think its misleading.
  4. yea, i guess frustration tends to do that to ones posts ;). you might be right about the mediaplayer being an afterthought tho. :) I had this awesome dog. It was sooo well behaved and.... .. hehe.. :P
  5. when this many exclamation marks are used : "More Usable Features!?!?!?!?!" , it sends a message that this i really really important and urgent. That is really why I choose to answer the post, since i dont see the urgency. :) of course everyone should voice their oppinions and wishes for future updates. I wouldnt have it any other way, as I too should be able to express that i dont agree...right? ;) :P
  6. I think theres alot of other stuff that needs improvement before they spend time on the mediaplayer. I mean, its a mixer, not an Ipod. :) Dont get me wrong, the medieplayer could really need an overhaul, but that part of my mixer has really low priority for me, and im kinda hoping that the line6 guys feels the same. If i really need the cool features of a medieplayer, i plug in my ipod, use airplay or something of that kind. :)
  7. really?.. "as week"?.. come on now.
  8. i hope it works flawlessly :) I must say that im a little dishardened to hear about the long service-time you guys have experienced. If my mixer stops working, ill be seriously screwed with a 6 week service. maybe its time to dig the old dog of a mixer out from the junkyard. oh i will hate listening to it again.
  9. first advice is to google it.. theres some good info on them both out there ;) Its not really fair to compare the 2 mixers. DL1608 as far cheaper and doesnt stand a chance against M20D. I have had both of them, and the only thing that made DL1608 better is price, size and the faders. In all other aspects the M20D is far superior. M20D offers a HUGE variety of sound processing, recording options, dynamic EQ´ing, FSP, 4 global effects instead of DL1608´s 2 global effects and god knows what. After upgrading to M20D, I have never looked back. but again, the 2 are really not comparable in my oppinion. the only reason I would buy DL1608 is if I couldnt afford M20D and needed a very nice and small mixer (and have an Ipad). But even then i would save a little longer and get M20D. the possibilities are so incredibly bigger AND its sooo funky looking :D . just my 2 cent.
  10. just remember to save your scene, and then save your setup where you scene is in, right after. I messed up a whole days work cause of this little detail
  11. very nice information. thank you. :) probably gonna save me alot of headache and grey hairs. Fortunatly I havent seen the problem. probably because I tend to always "start from scratch" meaning that I for some reason return to the root of the card whenever i have changed anything. I have no idea why, I just do. But its always nice to know that im doing something right, even tho i didnt do it on purpose ;)
  12. just remember that the volume needs to be so loud that you cant hear any of the instruments out front. If you can hear the drums accousticly (even just a litte) its a bit hard to get the sound just right. :) this is not a problem if we´re talking big venues. but in the smaller ones it can be a little tricky. I do loooove the feature. it gives us all a chance to get a clear picture of the sound, and the possibility to tweek if we´re not 100% satisfied whith how our own instrument sounds. :)
  13. bump on this. I use a XK3c with the M20D and havent noticed any distortion. so im very interested to find out what NOT to do. if its any help, i have done just about nothing about the setup. i plugged it into one of the stereo groups, selected one of the preset (i believed it was "basic keys", autotrimmed, a litte tone adjustment in quick mode. nothing else.
  14. where do I submit my wishes/requests for M20D on this new forum? :)
