Awesome Tbone! Please share. What is the configuration? HD>>DT>DT>L all with L6 Link? Does it require the second expression pedal? Do you like the combination of 50 and 25 watt DT's? Would two 50's be better? Would a second L series (in my case L3t or m) in lieu of second DT like the video you posted be an alternative? Stoked that you figured it out. Can maybe continue on my journey. Think I need the Variax too. -

You're obviously a lot smarter than I am, that is over my head as of now. Here is another link. More in line with what you have. I have seen others videos along with the one you found. Wonder if my answer to get good stereo acoustic and electric is to just get a 2nd L3. -

YouTube video. Search for (ex) Line 6 Dream Rig reviews. Want to say Andertons had some reviews but think there were others as well. That is what got be started on this adventure, the fact that everything in the Dream Rig was compatible and expandable all the way up to StageScape. -

I'm on board with this. I do not have the two DT amps yet, but want them to connect to my POD 500X and L3t, all with L6 Link and also likely a Variax to complete the deal. I've seen video demos where the L and DT were used. Can't help to figure it out bc I don't have the equipment but agree that there is a way to make it work. -

Looks like you have something similar to what I want. POD with two DT's and stage source. How is that working? Or are you still working on it? Thanks for the feedback. -

You are correct. I have a L3T. I am thinking of purchasing DT amps. Possibly DT50's. But I want to know if it will work. -

I thought L6 Link would allow for this??? I have been thinking of adding DT series amps to my HD500X and L3T. From what I have seen, HD5000X to HD50 to HD50 to L3T all via L6 Link. StageSource is always last. Is this not correct? -
Just received a HD500X and L3T. Haven't found a good Boston patch yet (i.e. Foreplay/Longtime-Don't Look Back). Also looking for some good Rush tones. Having patches is certainly helping me to figure this thing out Rig sounds great so far but a lot to learn. Have found some other really nice tone patches that are getting me going. Also, am thinking of adding HD series amps with a JTV to the just purchased L3T and 500X. Hoping for a great blend of electric/acoustic sound and ease of connectivity/communication between amps/guitars and effects. Gotta say the StageSource is amazing. And the POD is a lot to learn but really cool.

I do not own a JTV but am seriously considering investing in a JTV 69, HD 500X, and multiple HD amps or combination HD amps and stage source speakers. Looking for big sound, not necessarily volume. Like the variax flexibility and alt tuning capabilities. Really wanting to know the difference in the US custom series variax and if it is worth the extra $3k or so. Looking for opinions please.

My first "dream rig" was a Gibson firebrand "The Paul" and a Lab series L5 100 watt 212 run through a Peavey 412 cabinet. It had a built in compressor and frequency modulation along with tone controls and that with another MXR compressor and analog delay and I was the shiznat. Did put the shizzle in the shiznat when I got an AX2 in the '90's and thought I would never need another amp or effect pedal. Just reached a young 50 and after approaching 3 decades after getting out of school, getting a job working 9-5, and pretty much exclusively playing my Yairi DY 53 at home and around, I really started back with the electric last year and re-learned a lot real fast but still working during the day and not much time to play. Last week at this time I was ready to swap my Amplifi 150 for a HD500. Struggled with the decision but then plugged the 150 back up and find that it is really more convenient to play and I do play and practice even more with it. I do see some things occurring that are a bit unusual and I see where there have been some recent posts about uploading tones which I have yet to even try b/c I don't have a Mkii. I still have time to swap but I am hoping improvements will occur and Line 6 will make it better. I really do hope so. It is now just a nice practice amp. Could easily be an even better practice amp. I am holding off getting a floorboard as suggested by a GC tech. Says things are in the works. It would be cool to hear something encouraging from Line 6 about "things in the works". For now I'm keeping the 150 and hoping for any news at all from Line 6?????? Still, the '79 dream rig doesn't touch either of the 2 Line 6 amps I have. Actually still have the Lab series, and the firebrand still looks, sounds, and plays sweet!!

Why would they not provide a looper?

Looking at the POD 500. Wonder if I can/should trade the 150 for the 500? Can I play it through my old AX2? And no I'm not a pro, just like to jam man. Appreciate the feedback.

Was ready to pull the plug and get a shortboard. Now am wondering whether to return this thing in time to try something else. Maybe try a HD500 or maybe just deal with my "vintage" AX2 2I2. Really not a bad amp. The app is cool though and you need the "amp" to make it work, or now just a floorboard(?). Pros - easy to use, good sound, cool app.... Cons - limited control while playing even a single song and other better options seem available (even the same option with the FX 100). Difficult life decision here. Help!
-
I just want better control of sound. Looks like the new FX100 is not an option. Seems the shortboard gives you some control by way of switching presets and some stomp effects. I don't see another option. I like the Amplifi. Think I would have gone another route if I would have known the limitations with the foot controls. Also want a looper function. Possibly the JM4. Could have done all this with the HD500.

Can anyone tell me what this will do when paired with the Amplifi 150? It appears to be a mirror of the onboard amp controls by way of foot switch. Is it compatible with the 150 and can it store 36 (or whatever??) presets as opposed to 4? Effects would be controlled by channel presets except wah/volume could be added? Does it add more to what I have now with the 150 and the app? I have no experience with POD Farm. Have had the 150 about 1 1/2 months. Have been ready to get a shortboard but waiting to see if something else comes out. Is this now what I have been waiting for or would a shortboard suffice? Understand it is not ready for market but am anxious to see what it can do and how much it may cost.
-
Would a HD 500X be something to consider? I'm interested in the polyphonic alt tuning (instant alt tunings??), looper, pitch glide and smart harmony features on some other effects and amps. Was also looking at the JM4 Looper. Anyone have experience or suggestions on these products? Can the short board allow some way of getting these effects?
-
I have been wanting the foot control and debating whether to get the express or the short board. As I understand you can only store four presets. Really want to know if it is worth purchasing either of the FBV's or something else. I hear "they are working on things" with the foot controller but don't know if this is with the FBV's or something different. I'm about to pull the trigger and get the short board. Would anyone with an FBV recommend this?
-
Anyone figured how to control effects with footboards? Cool amp, would be better if you could store more presets and control effects.
-
This has been a fun amp to play within the last 2 weeks. I have an old AX2 2!2 which was pretty amazing when I got it but now seems outdated. Jumped on the new tech wagon with the Amplifi 150 so I'm needing some help.
-
Got the Amplifi 150 and want foot control of effects. From what I see the FBV footboards (ABCD settings) are disabled when using the app because control is within the app. How would you go about controlling app functions remotely (i.e. floorboard)? Is there a floorboard compatible for this amp that would allow control of effects?
