Hi there. If it is a MIDI jack, I suppose that the signal your current footswitch is sending to the amp might be simulated by the HELIX. Maybe you can connect HELIX (midi out) and amp via MIDI cable and figure out, which MIDI channel and programm change to be used. I would recommend to connect it as following: For Guitar Input: Guitar output --(instrument cable)--> Helix guitar input For PC connection: Helix USB output --(usb cable)--> PC USB input For Sound Output: Helix Phones Output --(stereo cable 1/4" to 1/8", see link below)--> Yamaha AUX IN Such kind of cable: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CMS105 In this setup, the Helix serves as the audio interface, so the guitar and speakers (THR) should be connected to it. Even without a connection to the PC, the THR will amplify your modelled Helix signal. Brgds

You will need an at least 3 channel mixer (like Behringer offers). After connecting all the units (Helix, mic, signal of partner) as well as your headphone/speakers to it, you have to level the volumes of each according to your needs and taste. If your partner also want to have a mix, you will need a mixer with min. 1 bus system, so that you e.g. us the bus and our partner the main output of the mixer.

Tipp: My Helix is protected by a 100% fitting case (https://goo.gl/OSgYSB). I am always putting some small bags with dehumidifier in it. You get this stuff shipped with electronic devices etc. or you can buy it online. I hope that these bags are absorbing the water from the air so that nothing will damage my Helix. I know that the cases are not 100% isolated to outer air, but maybe it will help already a little.

Not possible at the moment I guess (*.l6h file format of the Helix; way more settings with the Helix that could not be taken from POD-file). Moreover, preset would sound totally different with the Helix that with the POD (Helix has a way higher resolution and level of detail). I would suggest to "rebuild" the old preset by putting all "sound block" (like AC-30 in your example, etc.) of the old preset into signal chain in the Helix. With a little bit of tweaking I am sure that Helix will sound way better than POD did (made the same experience with different other sounds based on 5150, Mesa, Fender, etc.). Helix is extremely easy to use an program... you should give it a try.

I really don't want to be disrespectful, but as a user of the device I DO CARE about a certain issue that is making the Helix not meeting all of my personal requirements. I neither REALLY CARE about possible reason for it nor have to know what the difference is between resolution, accuracy, etc. to a sophisticated extend as a customer. To cut a long story short: For now I am tuning my guitar (tuned in Bm7) according to the blocks and arrows on the screen. When playing all the strings open, it just sounds like lollipop. It even gets worse when playing in a band with 2 other guitars. That has never been a problem using my Korg Pitchblack+... thats why I keep the Korg.

My feeling is that in terms of hardware and ability the Helix' tuner is able to work quite well but the visualization if the tuning/cents is just poor. Means, the red and green blocks appearing on the screen while tuning should be much "finer". Especially when working with low tunings (H, A and even down to G) the tuner is not able to visualize small change within tuning... so I turn the tuner heads leading to changes in tone/tuning but no change appearing on the screen at all. BUT, since all of us are arguing about that since months in this board, I can finally only state: PLEASE ENTER IDEASCALE AND VOTE TO THE NECESSARY CHANGES!!!

Maybe a tremolo in the effects chain? B)

I can definetly approve this!!! In the back of the case (that just fits perfectly) there is also room for additional cables and inear headphones and so on. I also plan to build a small patch bay (in die cast box or 19" rack panel) so structure the different INs and OUTs and take care of them so they will not die in the future (this might be a problem that no one knows now).
