Controlling Helix with Midi CC via DAW Automation

Hello all, i recently purchased an Helix LT and my other guitarist is going to buy a Kemper, we were trying to make automated patches for both and we don´t understand how to connect the two to a midi port, or chould it have 2 midi ports? can anyone help me figuring it how can i connect 2 devices on a midi?
