I'm a bit puzzled by this; In Command Center it's possible to send a Program Change message on preset load. I have my Stadium set up with a WIDI dongle, so as I select a Preset on the Stadium that I have assigned a PC message to, it sends the bluetooth MIDI message to my iPad, with Stage Traxx 3, to load the appropriate song backing track on the iPad. What I'm puzzled by is that when I view the Stadium presets in the main list, and tap on a preset in the list, it sends a PC message to the iPad even when I select a preset that I have NOT assigned a PC message to, in Command Center. Does the Stadium ALWAYS send a PC message on preset load? If so is there a way to stop that happening?

I've transferred some wav files to my Stadium but forgot to set the tempo on the Helix Stadium app before I dragged the files over. When I then try to change the tempo of the Song on my Stadium it messes everything up - for example it cuts off the end of the song. Is there a way to change the tempo after creating a Song and transferring tracks, or do you have to delete that song and start all over again, setting the tempo of the song BEFORE transferring files? FWIW it probably doesn't matter much, as one of the tracks I've copied across is a click track, so I don't need the Stadium onboard tempo/click to sync perfectly, but it would be nice to achieve this if possible

Just to let you know about a Feature Request I've made; I'd like to submit a Feature Request to make 2 improvements to Song View; 1) Make the Song Title scroll; at present if the song title is long, it is automatically abbreviated and the spaces between words are removed. It would be much easier to read the name of the song if the title scrolled. 2) When in Transport view, using the More function in Play View, there's no need to have the Preset name at the top (especially if using Showcase automation to select the correct Preset). Please could there be an option to have the Song Title there instead. In fact there is room for both the Preset and the Song Title, if the song title scrolls as per my request above.

I figured a USB connection would be the fastest way to drag my backing tracks to the Stadium, but seems that doesn't work - anyone know if they plan to allow that sort of functionality via USB some day?

Yes, I did think that, but to me it's still intuitive to have the Up / Down switches in the normal sense (ie Up is above the Down switch) but have the order of the rows changed so 1, 2, 3, 4 are on the top row, above 5, 6, 7, 8. Because even though the Up / Down doesn't necessarily align with the rows to the right, I know intuitively that if I press the Up switch I will move to whatever is the next up in the sequence (so if I'm on Snapshot 3, I know that pressing up will take me to Snapshot 4) I guess we all think differently - like my wife having the trackpad on her MacBook the opposite way around to the way I have mine. Totally fries my head when I use hers, but she seems to think it makes sense!

As for using such a thing for market intel, surely all these companies own the gear made by all the other companies, to see what works and what doesn't (attempting to add looking-up-to-the-sky-curiously emoji)

Is it possible to see and 'vote' for Feature Requests submitted by other people? In my experience, forums for other hardware have a Feature Request thread, where you can describe your request, and other forum users can vote - this gives instant feedback to the moderator and manufacturers of the most popular requests, and allows you to see what ideas are gaining traction. Is there anything like that here? Or do we just submit requests blindly, with no way of knowing if similar requests have already been made?

Hi everyone. Ok, first off, I am not one of those who keep going on about how much better another device is, and as a newbie to the Stadium from the Quad Cortex, I'm really enjoying the Helix so far (not my first time, I did have OG Helix but sold that in 2020 thinking the Mk 2 would be coming soon!) In particular I like MANY things about the Stadium U/I over the QC. In fact I'd go as far as to say there are too many things about the QC U/I that are just awful. BUT there are a few things that I think the QC does better, and I'd like to get your thoughts on them to see if they're worth submitting feature requests for; 1) Displaying what Mode you're in, when on the Home page: Can you do this on the Stadium or is it just guesswork, based on the colours of the footswitch rings, or do you just have to keep hitting the Home button to bring up the Play view, then close the Play view to go back to the Home matrix? On the QC there is a small icon that ALWAYS shows what Mode you're in when on the Home page. This is REALLY useful as you can use the footswitches to freely to go up and down the Snapshots while editing, taking the guesswork out of the equation. For example, I'm editing an amp block on the Stadium, in Snapshot 1 (which is F/S 8). I want to press F/S 9 to see how the amp settings compare in the next Snapshot 2, BUT if I'm NOT in Snapshot Mode, then I accidentally change Preset to the next preset up. So the only way as far as I can see to tell if I'm in Snapshot Mode is to press the Home button to go to Play View, then after checking, press the Home button again to go back to the editing matrix. A small icon to take the guesswork out, or to avoid this lengthy series of switch actions just to check could go next to the Snapshot Icon in the top right of the display. 2) Double tapping a block to turn it On or Off even if this is not your selected block: Also a really useful feature. I get that each block on the Stadium has a little on/off button to the right of the description on the parameters bar, but being able to do a quick double tap to turn a block on/off save a huge amount of hand movement down to that button when editing, and even more importantly it allows you to turn on/off UN-selected blocks. So say I'm tweaking amp gain, and I have a Drive pedal in front. I have the amp selected, so I see the parameters for the amp, but I want to hear how it sounds with the Drive on and with it off, and I can do this with a quick double tap of the Drive pedal block icon, which leaves the amp edit window open (ie, if I double tap quickly enough it doesn't bring up the Drive edit window, it just turns it on or off, allowing me to continue editing the amp accordingly, without having to jump between block screens) 3) Looper UI; Took me a while to work out how the looper on the Stadium works; am I right that the only way to bring up the Looper transport is to be in Stomp Mode and press the F/S assigned to the Looper? This is really long winded if you're tweaking parameters, and want to throw down a quick loop to help you tweak. On the QC, whenever you select the Looper in the Home page, it brings up both the parameters to edit AND the Looper transport. The Stadium has a huge screen to take advantage of, so it seems a waste of that space when I tap on the Looper block on the Home Page that the transport doesn't come up automatically, to be operated by either the touch screen or the footswitches (on the QC the footswitches allocated to the Looper will automatically map to the Looper when you open the Looper transport, regardless of what Mode you're in. 4) Looper Threshold: On the QC the Looper can be activated by F/S press OR by detecting a signal, and you can vary the signal threshold at which it activate - really useful when the unit is on your desk so you can't operate the footswitches to operate the Looper while holding your guitar. Does the Stadium have an auto-activate feature? I can't find one so far... Anyway, as I said, I'm not one to bang on about other devices, but I do think these are just a few simple ideas that can make your workflow so much easier.

As the title says; it seems counter intuitive to me that Snapshots 1 to 4 are on the bottom row and Snapshots 5-8 are on the top row. Same with Presets within a Bank, (1A-D are bottom row, 2A-D are top row) and Banks etc. Is there a user option to change this, so that you have lower numbers in the top row, and higher numbers in the bottom row?

I mean, the Headrush Core can do it, and I think ‘higher end’ units like the QC deliberately overlook this sort of feature at their cost (there seems to be a snobbery of sorts about feature requests for the QC to be able to do this, among the professional users who view saving loops or adding backing tracks as the sort of things that only amateurs and bedroom players would want to do)

Am I missing something here, but given the power of Showcase, and the fact that the Stadium has 'unlimited storage' (ie, you can keep getting bigger and bigger SD cards), I'm genuinely surprised to read in the manual that 1) your loops are stored in the internal memory, and therefore you have disappointingly low records times (only 60 seconds in stereo for a unit this powerful is really not that impressive to my mind) but also 2) you can't save loops? Is that right? If so I'm amazed a device with an SD slot can't use that SD card to, among other things, save your loops/ideas etc. Hopefully I've got this wrong, and you CAN save loops, but if not, has there been any suggestion of improving the Looper in the future to allow you to at least do this?

Any idea if there is a plan to allow you to use Showcase as a phrase / song trainer, by creating a loop (for example of a solo you want to learn) and then being able to slow it down? I hear that there is the possibility of AI stem separation in the future which would be an amazing tool to practice guitar solos over the original recorded piece of music as a 'backing track'

The question I've always asked myself is given how ridiculously fragile, expensive and essential touchscreens are on ALL devices that have them, and how only the manufacturers are capable of installing them completely dust free (who hasn't tied themselves in knots trying to get that last bit of dust out when installing a screen protector, only to make it worse and then throwing away the protector altogether and repeating the process 18 times?!) WHY OH WHY don't the manufacturers install something at the factory that ISN'T flimsy and designed to be peeled off, just to be messily replaced with a thicker version that you've bought on Amazon??

Now, the only thing is to request that the Block parameters disappear from view when in the Play view - I really don't need them there, and they take up valuable screen space; the Play view could be much larger without that bit at the bottom, as pointed out by John Nathan Corey here, at 7 mins 50 seconds;

There’s a lot of discussion about how the Quad Cortex volume functions as a master output attenuator and is designed to be set at 100% (unity gain) for most live and recording applications’. Is the Helix Stadium volume different, and it’s absolutely fine to operate it at whatever volume level suits you / your situation? Or should you be trying to leave it at, say, 0.0dB, and change the volume levels at the mixer (or whatever the sound source is)?
