Hi to all. I have been having a major problem with my HD500x when I use it as both audio interface and sound card/playback with my PC. I noticed at first that whenever I use a DAW (Audacity and Reaper) for recording, the whole PC freezes for like 2-3 seconds while I am recording. Worse, even if I am not recording and just playing with a BT via Winamp, VLC and WMPlayer, the freezing still occurs randomly. I've done the folllowing : 1. Reformatted my PC fresh and updated all drivers. 2. Updated all drivers in my Line6 Monkey. 3. Installed fresh Audacity. 4. Tried 5 USB cables to connect HD500x to PC. 5. Closed all other apps and anti-virus software while recording. 6. Minimized my patch's DSP. Here's my setup : Guitar -> HD500x -> PC (via USB) Speakers are connected to HD500x via the Phones port. Here's from my dxdiag : Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_ldr_escrow.181110-1429) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 3328MB RAM Page File: 1909MB used, 4742MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 11 Please help!!! Hi guys. I'll be gigging with HD500x on an XLR setup to be connected via the PA/Mixing Console. Sadly, I only have a single XLR cable that I connect as Left XLR Output. Will this suffice or will there be setbacks? Do you recommend that I use 2 XLRs instead just to maximize the HD500x? What other recommendations or tips can you suggest in using XLRs-to-PA setup with HD500x? Thanks.

Hi guys. I am planning to make interchangeable FS labels for my HD500X. I need them in such way because my FS assignments per patch/preset vary. Planning to have labels pasted on thin magnetic strips that can hold on easily to the HD500x's metal body. My question is, will the magnetic strips affect anything electronic or mechanical inside and outside the unit which might also damage it? Thank you.

I mean, the amp models are part of we paid for when we bought the unit. That's what makes it attractive to those who do not have financial resources to get a monster rig. For someone who wants to get the most out of the amp models and is a gigging musician with no uber-hyped tube amp, what would you suggest? 1. Get a portable power amp or speaker and use the preamps models (if there's no PA)? 2. Just rely on the amp/cabinet models and go directly to PA? Any suggestions?

I am thinking of an effect that mimics how you sustain a chord through a keyboard. It will sound like sustained chord with the keyboard in strings preset. You hit the chord and it goes on indefinitely. Can this be done in HD500x's reverbs + delay parameters and settings? If yes, how to do it? Thanks!

I am wondering how is the quality of sound with partnered with external analog pedals (pre, in FX Loop, and post). For example, I'll put my favorite OD before (either pre HD500x or in an FX loop block) a preamp-model in HD500x. Does it sound good or does the HD500x alter it in some way. Can you share some good tips in mixing analog pedals with HD500x. Thank you :)

Thank you so much for the info. Really appreciate it. BTW, I read the manual and found there's a SynthO-Matic and an Attack Synth Filter effect in HD500x so I'd like to as if these make the HD500x a good alternative for a real synth pedal system.

Hi to all. I am currently planning to include my new HD500x in an acoustic setup. Although there are lots of acoustic patches available to download, I just wanna know your ideas on what should a good sounding acoustic patch include in the FX chain or in settings. Gear : I have an Ibanez 1820x with a piezo which I connect directly to a mixer in live gigs. I'll probably use the HD500x's Looper more often than any other feature. So in order to get the most out of the HD500x, what can you suggest that I design my acoustic patch? I also wanna know if this also applies when I use a real acoustic guitar. Thanks.

...and so far I am really liking it. It's got what I need at the moment such as the Looper, Audio Interface and of course the Amp Models and the FX. I confirm that it has a steep learning curve but I am ok with it. I have yet to test it on a PA and a real amp. I started with a simple setup : A Tweed amp, a Dyna Comp, and a Screamer. Tweaked the amp and fx parameters briefly and I got the tone inside my head that my ears want to hear :) Then added 2 Delays and Reverb. I am looking forward in discovering more in the coming days. I really don't get the "no-power-switch" thing. I worry every time I plug the power cord thinking of any sudden power surge to the unit. But I bet Line6 has its reasons. I just wanna know something : I have a PingPong Delay and a Digital Delay in my patch. I'd like to be able to turn on the PingPong and turn off the Digital Delay in one switch, and vice versa. I tried reading the advanced guide but I seem not to find it. Please help me :) Thank you. :)
