    Helix FAQ

Thats great about being able to create multiple output destinations for each signal, actually thats really freakin' cool lol. However what about the monitor signal coming in from the mixing board, can I bring that in and only assign its output to the headphones? From your answer it seems that the usable signals (guitar, vocal) can be routed wherever, but since the signal from the mixing board would not be a path being used such as vocals and guitar, will I be able to put that signal only into the headphones? As far as my second question, in similar way, is it possible to route multiple paths to come out the same output for instance, just have vocals and guitar come out one mono output?

    Helix FAQ

Id like to restate my question I asked a while ago because maybe it wasn't clear the way I asked it, Is it possible on the helix to have separate control over the headphone mix (turn mic or guitar, or monitor in up or down) for use with an in ear monitor system at the same time as controlling a different mix to the main output mix? Also can I bring a monitor signal from the mixing board into the helix just for use with the headphones? I ask because I normally use in ear monitors instead of an amplifier or wedge solution for my own monitoring and just send the mixing board vocals and guitar. Right now I'm using a Line 6 M13 to a TC Voicelive to have this capabilities. The voice live has a separate headphones section that allows mixing of vocals guitar and monitor signal and even a signal from any auxiliary device without affecting the main mix output. I would really like to sell the TC voice live and just bring one pedal (the helix) to gigs. This would simplify my setup time. Heres another question also. Will I be able to send the vocals/guitar through the helix to the mixing board with the following options?- Dual Mono- Guitar and Vocals come out as separate mono signals, Mono- Vocal and guitar combined into a mono output, Stereo and Dual Stereo Thanks for all your hard work on such a great product!
  3. I'm not sure about how big the hd500 is but how big is the helix compared to the m13? currently the m13 fits in my padded laptop case.. The helix is replacing my m13
  4. All these people that are saying to put simple samples up, while I understand the sentiment, L6 is a big company with years of experience. Do you really think they are not going to put together produced content with a great player with a great guitar having fun and making good use of the sounds that suit him? Their intention is not to give you information about the helix. I doubt they have any incentive to do that. Their purpose is to get people excited and to build hype. The lack of certainty only gives people more to talk about ie., But he's using a suhr! But hes a good player, How come they don't show this, that, and everything in between? Obviously they know what they are doing because they have achieved amazing customer engagement. Frankly I've know about line 6 for years but just because of my research on the helix that is the only reason I've found out about fractal or kemper. And I've been playing professionally for years. Personally I think the tones so far sound great and i trust that if this thing is costing what it is, I have faith that it will be worth it in some way

    Helix FAQ

I currently use a VoiceLive 3 for my vocals and guitar straight to the PA (along with the M13 in front of the VL 3). I usually get a master signal from my mixing board and put it in my monitor in on the VL 3 and then I have everything coming out in my in ear monitors and the VL 3 lets me mix the monitor signal, my voice, and guitar signals independently from the PA mixer for the house and I also have independent control over my mix in my headphone channel that goes to my in ear monitors. Honestly I like the voice live for recording and its fun but the amp/cabinet/preamp modelers are not the best quality for the guitar and honestly I don't need all the voice correction and stuff for gigs. Im thinking of selling the voice live 3 or just using it at home if the Helix will let me have the same capabilities as far as mixing the mic, guitar, monitor signals independently as well as having access to a separate headphone only mix. Is this possible on the helix? Worst case scenario I will just replace my M13 with the Helix and still bring the voice live 3 but as a wedding player Im trying to go with the lightest most effective setup possible. I'm also wondering how the Acoustic guitar amp modelers are that are in the helix and if its possible to have separate presets for an acoustic and electric amp settings.
