  1. Thanks for clarifying, I'll carry on as I am :) Is the actual battery replaceable or do I have to buy a new transmitter? Cheers Phil
  2. Hello folks, I use my G10 for my 90 minute practise each night and I put it in the dock to charge it afterwards. Someone told me that the transmitter can only be charged about 300 times, does that mean it won't last a year doing it this way? Thanks Phil
  3. Thanks folks, I've bought Glenn DeLaune's stripped down amps pack so I'll try to change them for that. He has created them with all four paths open. They're pretty good too even though he is only using the stock cabs and they're a great learning tool as you have a good amp set up to start with. Cheers Phil
  4. Hello folks, I'd like to send my left 1/4 output to my Valve amp's return and the two xlr outs to my recording interface. I need to be able to record stuff with stereo effects sometimes, that's why I'm sending the xlr l/r to my interface. What I want to do though, is switch off cab emulation on the 1/4 out but keep it on the xlrs. Is this possible? Cheers Phil
  5. Thanks, I must be a complete donut :( I have managed to get the dry track back to Helix and come out of my speakers effected. I can't see how to send the track to a new track in Reaper though and for some reason, I can't get the dry track to go back to Helix now. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong. When you get time, is there any chance of some screen shots please? Thank you for your help. Phil
  6. Thanks Peter, I'm probably overthinking this or I'm just plain brain dead but, this is the part I don't understand. I can't see how to "output" it back to Helix. Thanks, Phil
  7. Thanks, I'll try that. I'm hopeless with signal path routing. :O/
  8. DOH! I was selecting Helix USB 1 and 2 when I needed to select 7 and 8. I've got a dry sound now. Sorry. Just got to work out how to send it back to Helix for reamping now, I'm struggling to get the path right so that I can do it. :( I have got the Helix Native trial but it is very noisy for some reason. Lots of hiss :(. I'm using a Helix LT so Native isn't a super cheap option for me anyway. Cheers
  9. Hello folks, I'm trying to reamp with my Helix LT via USB. The video below explains it but he isn't using Reaper. I've managed to record my guitar using the L/R 1/4 jacks and also the USB BUT, I can't get a dry signal from the USB, it has the same effects as the 1/4 jack outputs. I'm using a Scarlett 18i8 interface for the 1/4 outs. Any ideas? Thanks Phil
  10. Thanks but I want the preset to go through the Peavey power amp via the Peavey return, kinda like using half the fx loop. I've never really driver to far into fx loops but I did have a Boss GT100 set using 4cm which was good because you could switch it (I can't remember how) in the Boss computer interface to go via the loop or the front end. How I want to use this though is to be able to record direct through my Scarlett at the same time as I am playing through my amp. Sorry for being a dodo. Cheers
  11. Thanks, that has completely thrown me  I've never really dug deep into this kind of thing and it confuses the socks off me  I thought the way I said could be the simplest, I wouldn't have to alter any patches, just hit A, B or "both" depending on what I want to do at the time. I usually just play though my studio monitors but sometimes I want to feel the air moving ;) I am willing to give your solution a try though if you can help a bit more please. In my way, it's it possible to switch off cab sim on just the 1/4 out? Thanks Phil (51 year old, Tube Screamer into head into 1X12 kinda bloke :) )
  12. Hello folks, I'm a complete connection numpty. I'm thinking of connecting XLR L/R (stereo) to my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 and the 1/4" Left output to my Peavey Valveking 20MH fx return. I thought I could use my Radial Twin City ABY box to send the guitar to both my Helix LT and my amp input. Will this work ok? and, is there a better way? Thanks Phil
  13. Hello again, OK, I've looked at it but I'm a little confused as to how I can use it in my setup. I want to utilise my Focusrite as I use that for recording my mic'd cabinet. My studio monitors are plugged into the 1/4" jacks on the rear of the panel. It's not working too bad how I have it connected, it just overloads the input a bit where the Trio+ goes into the Focusrite Scarlett along with the Helix guitar signal. As I said, I'm terrible with cable routing, back in the day when I had a DVD player, a VCR recorder and a Satellite receiver, man, I was losing the will to live trying to connect it all up   That's why I was wondering if there was any way I could somehow utilise the ABY switch. I don't really want to change all of my patches to have an fx loop in them. Thanks for any help you can give and sorry for being a total numpty  Phil
  14. Hello folks, If I didn't want to change patches to utilise the other fx loops what would be the best way. I am a complete numb nuts when it comes to cable routing. I have a Helix LT. Can I do it better than this as I have it now. I have to set my Focusrite Scarlett to mono when using the Trio to get guitar from both speakers, I normally have 1&2 as a stereo pair. Here is my routing: Guitar straight into Trio+, FX send (Trio+) into guitar in (LT), Left output (LT) into FX in (Trio+), Amp out (Trio+) into channel 1 (Focusrite), Right out (LT) into channel 2 (Focusrite) this allows a stereo signal from the LT when I'm not using the Trio by changing the Scarlet Mix Control to 1+2=Stereo. Finally Mixer out (Trio+) into channel 4 (Focusrite). I do have a Radial Twin City ABY switch that I was thinking of utilising but my brain has frozen at the moment. Thanks for any advice you can give.
  15. Thanks, I'll look tomorrow, out of time now. Cheers buddy :)
  16. Hello folks, For a bit of fun I've bought a Digitech Trio+. Thanks for any advice you can give me. It's a great bit of fun, this Trio+, I have no friends that play drums or bass or anything for that matter so this is good for improvisation practise. I do find backing on YouTube sometimes and jam with that but when I have an idea it's good to get something related for backing. Cheers Phil
  17. Sorry for the late response, family crisis for a week. I only asked because straight out of the box, patch levels are massively different and when you're at home trying everything out, or going through trying to find something to base a sound on, you sometimes find a nice patch, play with it for a while then go to the next one, WHAM you're blowing your windows out!!!
  18. Thanks, On my Boss GT100, there was a Patch level knob in each patch, is the Channel level the same or does it change the sound at all? I can't check it right now as I'm not home. Cheers
  19. Hello folks, I know perceived volume etc all come into this but, what's the best way you've found for matching the output from one patch to another? I'm a home studio guitarist and for the way I work I'd like to set all patches to hit the peak meters with the same db or pretty close. Please don't go on about boosted should be louder than not boosted etc, I know that and I will be using snapshots to cover that sort of thing but, I want the initial patch to be close to all the others. I know the long winded way of finding the cleanest, least compressed patch and setting levels to that and using it as a reference point but have you found anything more streamlined? Cheers
  20. Did you get the same issue that I described in the update at the bottom of my post too? This may help you though http://line6.com/support/topic/20177-why-cant-i-move-this-block-to-the-second-line/ What I found really odd was that when I tried to copy and paste the block, it didn't do it in the software but it did place the blocks in the display on the Helix LT display. Here is a video of me trying to drag & drop and also copy & paste. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvFTIniY42Q Cheers

Maybe it's because mine is an LT and there have only been two since its release.

Surely there's been more than two?

Thanks. Makes me wonder why the updated is showing the last two though :)
