  1. Thanks I'll look into that later on today. Excuse my amateur playing, the timing was off because I was reading the sustain on each. The Amplifire 12 patch is stock, no changes at all. Sorry I didn't give you the slot number. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to enter a search? Sometimes you can remember a part of the patch name but not where it is and you can go through your patches more than once and not spot it. Cheers
  2. I find it odd that Yamaha allow such things !!!!!!
  3. I can post my Helix patch but it is the factory "4D Love Of Steve" patch I can't post the AA patch though. If you have a Helix just find the 4D Love Of Steve patch and you have it ;)
  4. Hello folks, I just put my Helix USB stick into my PC and Bitdefender reported a virus by the name of Win32.Tufik.A Am I safe to delete it or is it something that is needed and falsely reported as a virus? Thanks
  5. Hello folks, I hand an Amplifire 12 before I got the Helix LT. Have a listen to these two takes. The first one is the Helix preset "4D Love Of Steve" and the second one is the Amplifire preset "Infinite Lead". I think the Amplifire preset sounds more organic, how can I get the Helix one to sound closer to it? 4D Love Of Steve HELIX.mp3 Infinite Lead.mp3 Thanks for your )help :
  6. Hello folks, In the manual for the LT it says: "Footswitches: The capacitive, touch-sensitive footswitches have colored LED rings that tell you the current state of the assigned block or item. While in Stomp footswitch mode, touch (but don't press) a footswitch to quickly select the assigned block or item. Touch the switch repeatedly to cycle through multiple assigned items." Mine don't work in Stomp mode (when pressing and holding MODE switch) but they do work in Signal flow view and performance view. Any idea if something is wrong? Cheers :)
  7. I had one, much simpler to get good amp tones of of the box but the effects aren't pedal based. For instance, the delay block has around 35 knobs to twiddle, you need a good knowledge of how delay works and then I guess, you could get practically any delay sound that helix has. My advice, stick with the LT, don't serve two masters ;)
  8. Thanks but I wouldn't know how to do that, I have found a Helix version on the same page now though, I was just curious. Cheers
  9. Good point, well made :) Thanks
  10. It's a .wav but it's 3.75mb
  11. It's not that I have a problem with it at all, I just think it would be better that once you've selected 1024 or 2048 the relevant IRs appeared in a drop down list. It's easier to view when you can see more than one at a time. I can live work it as if it's. Cheers :)
  12. Hello folks, Me again. I have an ir that is a blend of a Marshall 412 loaded with 25 watt Celestion Greenbacks and an EVH 212 cab. It went into my Atomic Amplifire 12 but my Helix LT says"memory error". I've since found the Helix version but I'm wondering why the first one went on the AA but not the Helix? Thanks :)
  13. Yep, it worked, thanks folks :)
  14. It would be good, I think, if the impulse responses list dropped down like the pedals do in their list. Much better than the current sliding control, same goes for the mics.
  15. Thanks, I'll try that tonight. I just right clicked or double left clicked like you do on a computer. Cheers
  16. I can't even get to the point of entering the new name :(
  17. Hello folks, I'm trying to rename a couple of setlists, the instructions say "Renaming Setlists: To rename the current setlist, Right-Click/Ctrl+Click on the setlist name within the Setlist combo-box control list". It just isn't happening. I'm probably being a total numpty somewhere along the way. Can you guide me please? Thanks :)

    Preamp or amp

I think I confused myself a while back, I was hooking up a Peavey Bandit in the fx loop with a processor. I put the send from the fx to the return of the amp and the send of the amp to the return of the fx. It didn't work and ever since I've been confused :)

    Preamp or amp

Thanks for that. I'm actually running into a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 and through nearfield monitors. I tened to record a lot of takes in practise sessions, it's amazing what you don't hear when playing. Sometimes though, I want to go through my Peavey Valveking head and into my 1x12 with a Celestion Vintage 30 just for feel of it. I don't want to go into the front end and 4CM scrambles my head :) I thought that direct into the return from my Helix would be good. I would set up my ToneBone Twin City to route the left/mono out either to my Scarlett or the return on the amp. I don't understand it all but I do like to fiddle :)

    Preamp or amp

Thanks. I'm easily confused with cable routing. I don't actually understand what the send is nor what the return is in real terms. Cheers

    Preamp or amp

Thanks, Someone told me you can plug helix straight into the return of the amp to bypass the amp's own preamp, is that correct? Cheers

    Preamp or amp

Ahh thanks, I never thought of that. I'm only a home hobby guitarist so I guess, never gigging has left me without this kind of insight. Cheers :)
  23. Ahh thanks. Makes sense now. :)
