    Helix Native freezes Cubase 9.5

No fix, just the 24-hr workaround above. For Windows, you can use the workaround by @Ganvai above.

Helix plug-in on MacOS - permanent spinner

Do you have to do this every day?

How did this turn into the "random association" thread?
  4. I'd get the HX Stomp @20% off at Prymaxe ($479), and a Moog EP-3 Expression pedal for $38 = $517 Add a MIDI Mongoose (also from Prymaxe) for $105, or If you're feeling really spendy, a Morningstar MC6-II for $229

Helix Native Freezes Studio One DAW

Well... as far as "protecting piracy" a get it, and don't begrudge Line6 on this. It's the buggy implementation. ;) I created a macOS Automator App (attached) that removes the Session Key for you when you try to run it tomorrow and get the Spinning Beach Ball of Death again. Native De-Beach.zip

Deleting everything in the ~/Library/Application Support/Line 6/Helix Native/ folder definitely works, but you don't NEED to do even that. Deleting all the other folders and reinstalling the plugin & your DAW (which is what L6 recommended) is just cray cray talk. The L6 instructions are like swinging a sledgehammer to flip a light switch.

Helix Native crashes in Reason 10.2

There are a number of threads about Native crashing various DAWs on both macOS and Windows. I don't want to be spamming threads, but as a Windows user you should look at:

Good to know this works on both Windows and macOS!

I created a little Automatior application to remove that line from the file for me (attached). I suppose if you scheduled it to run daily you would only need to re-login once a day when the plugin tries to check in with the L6 servers. Removing that token doesn't automatically cause the plugin to "phone home", it just means that when it DOES phone home, you'll have to log in. Native De-Beach.zip

Based on the timing and the other responses L6 support has been giving out, they're slowly adding steps to the canned reply they are sending out. They didn't have the ~/Library/Application Support/Line 6/Helix Native/ folder in their instructions when I got them.

You don't have to to reinstall anything, or delete anything, and this is not a Mojave issue. After installation when you use the VST for the first time, it creates a set of folders in your user directory. There is a preferences file that you need to edit. On macOS, it's located here: ~/Library/Application Support/Line 6/Helix Native/Helix Native.prefs In that file, there is a key called "Session Token" -- if you close the DAW, open that file, remove that key and value, and save the file... everything works again... for 24 hours. You'll have to authenticate and log in to Line6 every day until L6 fixes this.

Helix Native Freezes Studio One DAW

Okay, so same problem, but I have a fix. L6 support was pretty useless as far as solutions on this one. I posted this in another thread of people have the IDENTICAL problem on Windows with Cubase. Reposting it here... I have the EXACT same problem running Presonus Studio One with Hellx Native on macOS! It will run perfectly across multiple launches for about a day (i.e. 24 hours), then it crashes the DAW. However, I DID run it up the flagpole with L6 support and their only suggestion was to completely reinstall the DAW... which made no sense, because all plugin versions (AU, VST) crashed every DAW and VST host I tried it with. But I happened upon a solution: after installation when you use the VST for the first time, it creates a set of folders in your user directory.
