you do not need set Input in Variax mags, Set 2 inputs on the guitar / Variax. To use real pickups simply press the guitar model selector and off models, ready ,you are already using the real pickups, Simple as that.

I use studio direct. actually running the pod in direct pa is not even an easy task, every gig is a way, each PA reacts in a way. as the fx loop, I let him active and when needed, I press the stomboxes I wish that moment

tomorrow I will do the test take off the fx loop of the chain to see if it really changes the sound

but despite the fx loop is active, I almost never use the stompoxes, I use clean most of the time, so I believe are not stomboxes in fx loop that make my sound treble or brilhant , when you leave the fx loop off do you think that changes the sound a lot?

I am professional musician and do at least 3 gigs a week, my setup is Variax JTV 69/pod HD500 / PA (direct) After two years using this setup, my conclusion is that there really is a big difference between running the pod usb and run straight into a PA, it is much easier to get good sound running via usb, run straight in PA is much more difficult, depends on many variables, and to this day I suffer to get a good tone direct sound in PA, mainly in the drives. Now via usb is very easy to get good tones I would like to know the opinion of your friends about it
