Yeah, good looking but does not share the recent price drop of the black version

Sound travels roughly a foot in a millisecond. 1.8 ms is the latency you would experience if your ears were ~2 ft from the speaker. If it is worse than that something else is going on.

I use Helix native with GarageBand frequently. Works great and comes with 10.11.
