This issue is probably due to the fact that pixels 7s are supporting apps developed for 64 bits only. If spider V are not considered legacy products, line 6 should upgrade the app soon

Dear community. I dont consider myself advance user but also not a newbie regarding using native or any other plugin for my personal performances. Nevertheless, i would like someone to clarify my questions about the "stereo" settings for using helix native either for recording or for live performances. First, lets assume i have an audio interface with "more than one" audio out, and 2 phisycal and same amps. The new cab engine on native 3.50 allows to use dual cabs, pan them left and right, and apply a small delay (to one amp) to make the sound wider with the "hass effect" (physics audio topic) So, assuming that my effects chains are set up correctly,( using the stereo version of reverbs and delays for example) and assuming that i am using my rig and home with headphones, basically im ready to go for recording. I mean, the stereo sound is achieved on my headphones as far as i can tell. The effect chain i have is as follows (the dual cabs have the seetings i mentioned before) That said, for a live performance with 2 real and identicall amps, how should i set the 2 splited lines out from native using a single block with the dual cabs? i mean, on the second pic above, i have the host in and host out in native, thats all. I am using the "gig performer" as a Host sofware and on the first pic, i have 2 lines out, which can be routed to each physically from the interface to the amps meaning one amp should get the left sound with out delays and the other one with the delay, but in the native is just one line out am i right? This is the part that confuses me. I hope i was clear with my explanation Thanks for your assistance

I have been reading this topic, and as the commenter above, new things are learned with this kind of conversations, so i guess it can be productive. That said, i guess a lot of people would agree if we hope to have " more DSP power" i am not technical on this kind of DSP topics so i am not sure if a "more powerfull processor" would help when for example, you build a block with multiple Pitch shifter effect (this effects consume up to 50% according to Line6) I am using the Native version so i dont have that problem as it has the hardware. And for the HW version, im not sure if it has bluetooth capabilities, but now, as a personal project, and with arduino, i am trying to build a Digital Whammy Bar (ala, Virtual jeff pro) that will wok only as midi controller, that will change the pitch with the Poly whammy effect in HN. So i will not be out of tune when using the effect. Let see if it works :D ] Going back to the "bigger and more powerfull processor", I would hope to see Latancy improvements on the Variax series, as they sound good enough in my opinions, but in youtube you can find people doing test with alt tunnings and accoustic sims at the same time, and on those cases latency goes much higher. So, time will tell if L6 will improve or abandonce such tecnologies. Cheers

Compensated Tunnings on Variax line guitars
josehdx replied to josehdx's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Ok Perfect, now i understand, as i thought the alt tunnings were always departing from the standard ones. I thought that if the standard tunings were a litle flat, that was goind to affect the emulated tunnig. So i gues, it is possible to adjust in a custom tunning with the work bench, the compensated tunning the guy in the video talks about. Thanks for the answer -
Dear people I just watch this video about a new tunner, and well, my goal is no to talk about the product shown on the video, but about the algorithm than Variax Guitar have when they are set with alternative tunnings I dont have a variax but im am intersted tu purchase one and, after watching the video, on the link below, i wonder how "in tune" are the variax when you select the mentioned ALT tunnings. Do variax compensate (making the open strings a little flat) in order to allow heavy strumming? or are they linked directly to the std tunning? i mean, maybe the mentioned compansated tunning should be applied to the std in order to make the alt tunning compansated as well Can anyone clarify? Thanks Co

Excuse me, what do you mean with double take? Thanks

Thanks for the explanation. For he acoustint section, i am not using the Native VST neither for amplifiying or for its acoustic simulator. I am using anothe rone from Blue cat audio which i guess it works as the one in native. Still i have placed the external IR loader after this Blue cat VST to get a better sound Regarding Helix Native chain, I will do some test, so probably i will avoid using the eternal IR loader when i use Native, i will keep it active for the other plugins. Regarding my screenshot, you really need to see the mess that other users make :D

ok, i just did similar question for native so, i need to turn off the CAB only, right? on the sound chain, what would it be better to keep? a pre amp or an amp? this is assuming i will use and IR. And i also assume that the time based effects must be placed after thr IR, right? The problem for me is, i am using Gig performer 4, so my plan was to set an external "IR loader" for other plugins i.e. Accoustic sim and MIDI guitar, hence using only this loader, but the time based effects will come before the IR and hence the audio result qill not be the one desired. Probably i need a second instance of Native, or remove the IR loader only for native What do you think?

Hello. I did a quick search about the topic on the title but the search engine gave me mixed results. I have watched some YouTube videos about loading some WAVE IRs on helix native and the presenters were keeping the stock amp/cabs before the IR. So, some questions came to my mind. An IR can be define in many ways, but they are like an EQ trying to emulate the response for certain impulse you put as a sound wave. Hence, why should we add some "amp" "preamps" "cabinets" or "combo" before the IRs, if these ones are already doing the job. The other question is, I am using Gig performer. I have like 3 different chains with different plugins, one only for electric guitar (with helix native) one for acoustic emulation and a last one for MIDI Guitar with kontack samples. All of these goes to a common IR in the end of the chain, with another plugin working as IR loader. This means, i am not really using the IR module on Native (but i have the stock amps loaded on native) so i would assume this would affect the final sound, as my understanding is, i am affecting the chain by placing the IR after the reverbs, delays, and EQs on native. So i would say this is not the right approach. Can anybody please give me or guide me on the best way for a "live" performance approach? Thanks

Did you check the gain knob ln the audio interface? You need to reduce it to avoid clipping
