  1. For a while I thought I was on the TGP. A whole lot of cat slapping with the occasional meaningful comment. Meaningful comments appreciated.
  2. Since the rc500 has no phones output, you are stuck with the Helix phones output. So you will need to put a send/receive block in every patch you want to use the looper on. 1 alternative would be to use a small mixer to plug your Looper into that has a headphone jack on it. Then you would go from the Helix outputs, to the Looper inputs, then the Looper outputs, into the mixer, probably left side Channel One panned to the left, and right side to Channel 2 panned to the right. Then just use the mixer headphone output. This way you won't have to use send and receive blocks on your helix as you will be looping the output signal directly from the helix regardless of what patch you are using. Something like this... https://www.zzounds.com/item--MAC402VLZ4 There are cheaper mixers available, just make sure it has stereo input ability.
  3. I have numerous and varied midi commands programed into my helix LT to control things in my GR-55. All functions and midi was working correctly after doing the 3.15 update and restore... BUT..... the new update re allocated the CC#'s 77 thru 81 to some other purpose and are now unavailable for programing. I had several commands in my two units set to CC#81. I just switched those to CC#82 on both units and they are now working as before. However, what you seem to be indicating is giving you problems is the channel/patch changing??? Maybe trying to do the RESTORE again. Did it go thru the REBUILD cycle after the update and restore.

And compared to what's coming with the Helix, for me it's night and day." AxeFX III is also roughly twice the price. I've been a Boss/Roland user for years ( GT 10, 100, GR55), and while it was a little bit of a learning curve switching to the Helix LT, the one thing I found was that while that presets were not necessarily great out of the box, they were good starting points and I have found it much easier to dial in a tone I like rather quickly. I still miss some of the Boss effects, but have been happy with the Helix offerings, and much prefer the HX editor and UI over the Boss offerings. Point is you get out of a MFX unit what you put into it, whether it's money or time or both.
