  1. Derek, I agree re comments on more explanation for people like you/me - there seems to be assumption that we are all fully knowledgeable muso's - many of the expressions used like Sag and low shelf freq or low shelf gain (what's the difference) speed/mix/depth/Feedback/Manual - some are obvious but what's manual for instance!! And as you say many of the instructions are minimal and at least one is completely wrong in the Pilots Guide the instruction for factory reset is in fact the instruction to put it into test mode....... Sorry I can't help re looper, I'm sure some dude will - I look forward to hearing the answer......just had to share the above Timon
  2. When switching between patches, it appears that the volume of the patch I have switched to is at maximum volume until I touch the pedal. Once the pedal is moved (just a tiny amount), the volume is then governed by the pedal position. Obviously this means a patch change during a song brings the new patch in at max volume - I'm playing with a Variax linked via the digital interface cable as opposed to a standard 1/4" jack. Any experiences or ideas anyone? I'm wondering if experimenting with min/max settings on pedal volume via the app. might be an option...
  3. Thank you - looks like the wrong instructions are in the Pilots Guide - I think you will need to change this asap.....
  4. Hello, just done a factory re-set as I want to now work methodically with the 1500 after a day of pressing buttons and mucking around. However, during the factory reset, the LCD suggests I should identify and press various buttons I suspect to confirm what they are - but I don't know which button to press - has anybody any idea why factory reset is requesting this.......I am on latest firmware...
  5. Any problem with plugging Variax into 1500 via digital interface cable whilst standard guitar plugged into 1/4" Guitar input? I'd like to be able to chop and change guitars during gig without having to unplug - just turn volume down.......
  6. With a James Taylor Variax connected via Digital Interface Cable and blue tooth linked IPad running Firehawk software I'm finding when refining Variax tones to work on the FH1500 the amp hangs/freezes and only solution is the switch it off and on again......any ideas anyone. Thank you in anticipation Timon
  7. A whole new world for me - thank you
  8. I think I'm returning to the GT100. I loved the idea of the Ipad interface and have no doubt this style of device is the future, but the teething problems are too many - yes latency, also pops and surges, ergonomics - hitting the wrong button, and software being shakey....
  9. Interesting to learn that there are rogue tones on the line 6 cloud that, once used, necessitate a saving of all your tones to "my tones", a factory re-set of the Firehawk, delete and reinstall of app. And reload firmware 1.1 May I suggest each shared toned is quarantined before being made available for download. Also, this issue needs flagging up before it happens - please make people aware - I had complete failure of Firehawk...lucky trust GT100 was still around. Line 6 - we don't need this stress please.....
  10. Gigged with Firehawk into Stagesource LT3 last night and had a lot of squealing/feedback issues. Slightly confused by this as I tested my pre-sets at stage/gig volume - no problem - after upping the noise gate settings a bit. Perhaps it was the room dynamics....I don't know but thinking I might need to return to my Fender Hot Rod.....shame as I get and like the idea of using FRFR. Has anyone had similar problems and hopefully a solution or two......
  11. Thank you, you've made up my mind - I think I'll leave the stereo......
  12. Thank you MC - any idea what's to be gained by stereo through one speaker cab?
  13. Please excuse my nievity - when connecting my Firehawk to a Stagesource Lt3 is it better to use xlr or 1/4" Jack or, I suspect, it doesn't make any difference? My second question is what might I gain from a stereo connection and how would I do this - do I need a second amp/speaker? Thank you in anticipation...... Evorgeloc
