  1. Hi all, probably there already is a similar topic already here, but I could not find something specific. I want to get a little amp for home to connect my Stomp Hx to. In the rehearsal room I use a Line 6 Spider Valve 112, and connect directly into the Power Amp section. At home it is just to sometimes play a bit louder, alone, or together with my girlfriend who plays cello, so not to compete with a complete band. Just a bit louder than standard indoor room volume. And the sound should be good of course ;) Does anyone have any good recommendations? I tried a Roland MicroCube, that worked, but the sound was really really crappy. Ideas I have so far are: Transistor: https://www.thomann.de/de/marshall_mg10g.htm Transistor: https://www.thomann.de/de/marshall_mg15g.htm Valve: https://www.thomann.de/de/laney_cub8.htm Active Speaker: https://www.thomann.de/de/fun_generation_pl_108_a.htm So long, Kalle
  2. Hi, not exactly what you asked, but I am now using two of those with the y-cable: https://m.thomann.de/de/lead_foot_lfx1.htm Works great, and both can be configured to whatever you want. For some presets I am using one pedal similar to a switch, i.e. heel down=off, any other position=on. Hope that helps.
  3. Hi, I don't really know, I have this one: https://m.thomann.de/de/pro_snake_tpy_2003_pbb.htm Should that work? I am pretty sure I understand the settings and used them right... Edit: Ok, I just googled what TS and TRS stands for. Mine is 1TS-2TS. Which is good, so I can fix it ;) Thanks a lot for the hint!
  4. Hi all, I have now tried to connect an expression pedal AND a footswitch at the same time, but it doesn't woork, whatever I do. When I connect both via a Y-cable, only of of both works, either EXP1 or SWITCH4. EXP2 and SWITCH5 do not work, I am pretty sure I set everything right, and I tried all combinations. Did anyone of you have success there? If not, does anyone have an idea for a workaround? I mean, for most songs, I am using the presets, and an expression pedal. That means, when I want to switch to another preset for another song, I have to go down and use my fingers. That sucks. With another footswitch, I would have set it to "Next Footswitch Mode". Any ideas? I can't be the only one with this problem? So long, and thanks in advacne...
  5. This manual: https://de.line6.com/data/6/0a060b316ac34f05935d6c78e/application/pdf/Spider Valve User Manual - English ( Rev A ).pdf
  6. Hi all, I have a question regarding the circuit diagram of the Spider Valve 112 MK1 (I attached a screenshot from the manual). As I read it, the “All-tube power amp” section consists of the pre-amp tubes AND the power amp tubes. However, the “Preamp out” is right before that section where the pre-amp tubes are. And the input to this “All-Tube Power Amp” section is labelled “Power Amp In”. So, when I go with an external signal (in this case from Hx Stomp pedal) into the “Power Amp In”, I still use the preamp and poweramp section of the Spider Valve, correct? Although the section from “Guitar in” to “Preamp Out” is completely bypassed. I’m confused…
  7. Great, that sounds cool, and probably will work! Thanks guys!
  8. Ok, thanks. Can I also assign more than one device to one pedal? Like, an amps gain AND an overdrive stompbox?
  9. Hi all, can I gradually blend from one snapshot to another (Hx Stomp)? What I would like to do is to slowly blend from a clean sound to a heavily distorted sound. I know, I could assign the expression pedal to a mixer and go from path A to B, but with the 6 limit, I don't have space left for a mixer...
  10. Not the answer I had hoped for, but that totally makes sense, thanks.
  11. Hey, thanks for the quick replies! So, that's good news! Some follow-up questions: On page 5 of the manual they write “For external footswitches, the momentary (unlatched) type should be used.“. On page 35 they write “Selecting FS1-FS5 will display Knob 3 (Switch Type). Turn Knob 3 to select "Moment[ary]" or "Latch[ing]" behavior. Momentary means the value will change for as long as you hold the switch. Latching toggles between Min and Max values every time you press the switch.*“ So, latched or unlatched? What I would like to do is, have one expression pedal, and one footswitch. With the footswitch I'd like to change presets (up and down), e.g. using this switch: https://www.thomann.de/de/lead_foot_fs2.htm Would that work?
  12. Hi all, the Hx Stomp manual says that you can connect two expression pedals, or two footswitches. Does anyone know, can you connect one pedal and one switch at the same time?
  13. Ah, okay... Thanks for the quick reply! Okay, all snapshots for one song in one preset. Hm. I'll try this... And there won't be any delay when switching presets?
  14. Hi all, I just setup all my presets on my new Hx Stomp, and it sounds great! However, when rehearsing, I noticed that there's quite a delay when switching presets. Is that normal? For me that would be a real show-stopper, we have quite a lot of songs where I need a clean sound for the intro, and then a heavy distortion from one moment to the other...
