I had the same problem with the model knob last yr. but i pulled off the knob stuck a peice of paper in there and now it works fine.

If you read the manual it says you can do a factory reset on just the alt. tuning but what they tell you to do does not work when you are in the 2.0 so i was wondering if i had to reinstall 1.9 or go back farther to get that factory reset on the alt. tuning to work.So you are telling me if you install 2.o it also sets up the alt. tuning. thanks for your time cal.

You can not do a factory reset on the alt. tuning when in 2.0 firmware.

I have the JTV69 version hd2 i dont think i can do a factory reset with this version installed. I bought it brand new from l@m in canada. cal

Hi guys anyone having any problems with the JTV89F guitar like ghost notes or anything with the models.I have a JTV69 but i am interested in also buying the JTV89F so i am interested to no if anyone that has one are having any problems with them thank you for your help cal.

I changed strings to fender super bullets 10's and set intonation .I will record with the variax on fri.13th. and see if i still have the same problem if i do i will reflash to 1.9 and check it again cal. When i was in 1.7 i know when i turned the amp. way up the ghost note went away but since i upgraded to hd2 they wont go away no matter how loud the amp. is.This just happens in alt. tunings all the models work great in standard tuning.

I had ghost note before when i was in the 1.7 when i turned the amp. up they went away now when i upgraded to the hd2 i hear ghost note on the high e string in all alt. tunings and i cant get rid of it no matter how loud the amp. is.Should i reflash the hd2 or wait and see if L6 can fix the problem. thanks cal.

first of all i would like to thank all the guys for their help on my questions.I have had my jtv69 for 15 mos. now but i never did any of the other upgrades by going straight from 1.7tohd2 did i lose benefits of those other upgrades.Like if i went from 1.7 to 1.8 then 1.9 then to hd2 would that give me better upgrades in my guitar or would the hd2 just replace what is already there.thank you for your time cal.

hi guys another stupid question when you upgrade to hd2 the alt.tuning knob has to be on model but do you have to turn the model knob on or do you just leave it on the mags.Thanks for all your time cal.

my alt. tuning still not working right would like to go back to 1.83 than forward to 2 version. My itv69 was in the 1,7 version i went straight to the hd2 version how do i get back to 1.83 thanks for your help cal.I would like to give that a try. jtv69.

got the strings changed sounds good intonation out a bit will set that in a couple weeks thanks for your help cal.Put fender silver bullets on it.
