jackvegas1488 Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 Hi all, When I use my pod x3 with gearbox, gearbox seems to go mad and start turning the volume and treble knobs (on screen that is) whilst I am playing. This is annoying because trying to record a song with the tone I setup is impossible, tone changers halfway through. Anyone got any idea what the issue might be?? Triryche Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 It may be receiving MIDI messages from somewhere or you could have dirty pots. BillBee Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 I had a similar issue with a used XTPro. Gearbox would not engage/change the delay usless I changed to another effect, say like the mod, tuner wouldn't pick up notes. Generally screwy and the final fix....... I fired up the ole L6 Monkey and reflashed the unit. It looked like something in the firmware got partially screwed and needed to be reset. Do as suggested above to eliminate dirty pots (and also pot jitter from vibrations can cause random changes) prior to considering reflashing. -B Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
