pugdealer
Hey guys I'd like to make a few mods to a 59 and I'm sure some of you know the answers to the following: 1 - Does a gibson pickguard directly fit the 59? 2 - Standard gibson pickup covers fit the 59's pups? 3 - This one is not specific to the 59, but to any rosewood fretboard: Can I apply black wood stain to the freatboard or is it a big no no for some reason I'm missing? thanks!! No ill effects...but it probably won't have the dramatic effect that you think it will, unless perhaps you apply multiple coats. Rosewood's grain won't look like ebony no matter what you do. When it dries, it will probably just look like a slightly darker rosewood.
