xpanmanx
I really love my HD Pro, but I did the "pro" thing and stuffed it into a road rack along with my other stage gear. The attached pic shows an old Anvil 6-space effects rack; everything now lives in an EWI foam-surround rack replete with Neutrik I/O panel. When I roll up into a gig, I look good. But I don't feel so good going up my basement stairs. I's heavy and cumbersome, and if I nick up the handrail or gypsum board any more my wife is going to toss the whole thing in the rubbish bin LOL. With all that in mind, I'd be fine if my rack lived in the truck between gigs, and I could use something else in my practice room. Ideally that "something else" would be quite similar to my HD Pro. What's the smallest member of the Pod family that will work with my HD Pro tones and FBV Shortboard Mk II?

I'm not positive, but I believe it has the floorboard input on it. The tones are interchangeable using the HD edit program.
xpanmanx
Will I have to run the tones through a file conversion utility to move them between the HD and HD Pro?
BillBee
Hey there my man, Nabbed an HD Bean so I could leave the HD500 packed at home. The Bean has the FBV input so you are good there. The file conversion has worked pretty good going to and fro the HD500 so there is no reason it won't work for the Pro. IIRC there were some issues between the 300, 400 HD going to and from the higher models. http://line6.com/support/topic/2164-pod-hd-tone-conversion-utility/ -B
joel_brown
You need the PODHD Desktop (aka Bean). They're discontinued but they can still be found occasionally on eBay. I have a brand new one in the box that's never been registered. It's my backup unit that's never been used. Not sure if I want to let it go yet but I'm sure you can find others. xpanmanx
If I buy a used Pod HD bean from Amazon or eBay .... what do I need to watch out for with regards to registration?
BillBee
Nothing really - you won't be getting any warrenty repairs on a used unit and there are no model packs or Pod Farm use. If you do hit problems the L6 guys are good at straightening stuff like that out. -B
xpanmanx
Used Pod HD on the way from an Amazon seller. $250. Maybe a little high, but then again, it's on the way :)
