Dshow
Hi, I spend some time with my Variax JTV-69S and HD500. I was playing around with the Line 6 Edit Software then it happened that the HD500 did a reboot on its own. After the reboot the volume knob on the guitar didn't work anymore - not on the models nor on the real pickups. The volume was always full open - no matter what I did with the volume knob. The guitar was connected with the Ethernet Cable (the original that came with the guitar). After playing around with the Alt Tune knob the volume knob started working again. Today I played with the variax again and the volume knob stoped working again - this time without the reboot of the HD500. The Edit software was opened. Don't know if it has to do with that. Any ideas? Thanks a lot
silverhead
When using the JTV with a VDI-equipped POD HD there is an option to reassign the JTV Vol and Tone knobs as HD FX parameter controllers. It is possible that the Hd500 preset you are/were using makes use of this option. In that situation the Vol knob will not respond as the guitar volume controller; it actually controls something else. Check the Mixer page using Hd Edit. Make sure the Vol knob is 'unlocked'.
