pgianf
Hi I've just bought an AMPLIFI 75 and exploring all the functionalities. At the beginning i was confused because I thought I could connect via bluetooth an android device with the App on top and another device like my iphone to play a backing track, but this is not possible. I can connect just a device at a time. So If I want to play backing track from my mac os i have to use the aux in, no way to do this using bluetooth together with the app form my tablet. But I don't understand why i cannot connect to the amplifi via bluetooth using my mac book pro, i cannot see the device in the list of discovered device. Is this correct? I've tried also with a dell computer, the same result. So Amplifi can be reached only by tablets, phone,.. it's strange. thanks Paolo
Jaguar9080
It's possible. I connect my Amplifi 75 to my Mac via bluetooth when I'm not using the iPad app to control the amp (I have the Shortboard MKII so I mostly use that for control, unless I'm creating tones). Did you press and hold the bluetooth button on the Amplifi to put it into discovery mode prior to trying to connect? Also, your tablet/phone will automatically remember and connect to bluetooth devices when they're detected, which will override your Mac trying to connect, so it helps to turn off bluetooth on those devices before trying to connect to your Mac. pgianf
Yes, I've tried, turned off any bluetooth device, hold the bluetooth button for some second and it worked. I had to put the mac book really close to the Amplifi, it's strange because there are just 2 meter more or less, but now that the two are paired i've put the mac book back in it's original position and it's still working, I can hear the audio but there is some glitch and sometimes the connection with my bluetooth keyboard is lost, it seems the signal is not good probably even my mac book is a bit old or could be also my body between them. Any way, it's working thanks a lot for your suggestion Paolo
t3012
Hi, I have the same problem with my Ampifi 75 when using my Macbook or MacBook Pro. When I lie on my bed and just use the Amplifi to just watch movies or play music from iTunes, the sound is intermittent and the bluttooth connection is dropping. The Amplifi is placed on the floor at the foot of my bed. I even tried elevating the Amplifi and placed it on a stool but its the same. My Macbook Pro is 1.5 yrs old and the MacBook is 3 yrs old but both MacBooks have the same problem. Ty
wilson69978
My amplifi 75 cuts out from time to time when using blue tooth as well. However my iPad 2 is not that old so who knows why. I simply would not trust it for a paying gig! For home or fun use yeah it's fine, but I don't think it is ready for prime time. I have a Mac book pro but have not tried pairing it with the amplifi. It is a neat amp, I actually like it a lot. I just don't think it is an amp for a pro layer. (Which I am not, by the way)
mistrp13331
I have an 2015 iMac 5k, and still experience the same issue with connectivity you guys have. Strange how Line6 does so well with iOS and Bluetooth, but fail miserably with iMac. Assume if enough of us Mac users complain, they will create an APP to work with AMPLiFi. Until that time we are stuck using the device with iPad or iPhone...bummer
