Hi, I'm from Argentina and I have problems with my Pod HD500x. It´s been a while since it´s started. As son as I power my pod, it starts to change the bank list over and over and I´m not able to use it because I can´t choose the patch I want. Sorry about my englsh. I really need some help,I have this big show coming. Anyone with an idea? Thanks

I would try two things.

First, try reinstalling the firmware using Line 6 Monkey. Before doing so, run the Edit program and save all your current setlists. During the reinstallation, chose to replace the existing presets.

If that does not resolve the problem try replacing the power supply unit.

I realize that you are an Uber Guru Line 6 Expert. But why would you jump straight from flashing to the power supply?

Wouldn't a bad footswitch make more sense?

It seems to me like his pedal is stuck. Doesn't it?

Yes it could also be a stuck or loose internal switch. And even if that is more likely I would still start with software and psu.

I suggested the external power supply first because that has often been the problem when the symptom involves unprompted changes in performance and/ or display issues, and because it is a non-intrusive test/fix. Nothing needs to be taken apart and no hardware needs to be touched or replaced. If it is indeed the problem the solution is cheap and easy.

My general approach to problem solving is to rule out the easier and cheaper potential fixes, especially if there could be a software fix or external psu, before moving to the more expensive and intrusive internal hardware fixes.

So you are talking about the power cord?

I thought you meant taking the unit apart and changing the internal unit.

Sorry...
