fenderteles
Hey people, I just bough the HD 500X. I want to run a couple of pedals before my POD ( a Real Tube drive and Marshall Guv'nor ). Will this be a problem ? I don't want to damage my unit, so I figured I would ask first. Thanks for the help gang...
phil_m
Sure, you can do that. It won't hurt the unit at all, and it's actually a pretty common thing for people to do. You can also put the pedals in the 500X's effect loop if you want. That can be nice if you want to have some of the on-effects in front of your pedals. Apocalx
You can and it's pretty practical since it will save you some DSP. The only thing you have to watch out for is your volume before going in the POD. Having your signal boosted too much can cause clipping and noise problems with high-gain amps and some EQs. maxnew40
I did just that the other day when recording some guitar parts for a demo. I had our other guitarist just hook his pedal board into the input of my HD500 for recording. It let him use his overdrive pedals but still go direct to the recorder. It worked great! -Max
