frankiman
Hi there, recently purchased a used L2M unit, my question is simple. I'd like to use the electric guitar mode of the speaker but after I connect it with the Pod using the Link connection and then setting the speaker to Electric Guitar Mode, as soon as I change patches it goes back to Reference/PA Mode.... how can I tell it to stay in electric mode? Thanks

Thanks You will need to load up a patch, then select electric guitar mode on the L2M, and save. When you recall that patch next time, it should switch mode to electric guitar automatically. Just as an aside, I don't know what's in the rest of your rig, but if you're using a POD HD and/or a JTV, you're kinda defeating the purpose of having a nice FRFR speaker by running it in electric guitar mode. Especially for the the JTV acoustic models and the POD's amp/cab sims , you really want to be in reference PA mode to take advantage of the FRFR capabilities. Otherwise, electric mode is artificially restricting the speaker's frequency repsonse. Just food for thought.
frankiman
Hey man thanks so much for the reply. I will work on resaving my patches while having the l2m connected. I use the l2m in 2 bands. One as a full frfr but the other one i need the thing to behave more like an amp. Thanks again for the tip
zaphodboy
Just remember that to get the L6 link to remember your speaker setting you have to hit save on the POD. If you try to save it through HD Edit it won't work..... dunno why.......Also the speaker mode is set per patch, so you'll have to do this on all your patches, it's not a global setting.
