I noticed that my HD500x shows up as a midi input device, but not a midi output device on my windows computer. Is this normal? Is there a way to enable midi control of the HD500x from usb? I am building some software to manage my bands live show and want to do patch changes etc.. from my computer.

This is correct. There's no MIDI over USB functionality, in or out.

If I may ask you,

I got a POD HD PRO. I would assume it can't be controlled vie USB either? The thing is, I want to change patch with a command from cubase. Is it only possible via midi or can I do it with just the USB somehow?

Thank you in advance!

You'd have to use a separate USB to MIDI device to do what you want to do.

So when the HD500X is connected to the PC via USB, the in/out hardware midi ports on the HD500X will not function as Windows midi ports?

They simply work as hardware midi ports for the 500X itself - correct?

TIA
