hankpill
I connected via edirol um-dxe usb to midi box. Confirmed connection by using dtedit to flip from pentode to triode and see the head front panel switch. But Monkey does not detect the head and fails to update after repeated attempts. TheRealZap
Try a different midi interface. The most reliable are the m-audio uno. Sounds like your current interface is nice. But sometimes interfaces just don't work as well as the uno does. That's what line6 tends to test with internally as well.
hankpill
But if it was an interface problem then dtedit wouldn't be able to work either. It can, so clearly there's a bug in Line 6 Monkey.
TheRealZap
Not true. The editor is simple commands. Lots of interfaces can do that but are not robust enough to flash. Happens with those 5$ eBay cheapie midi interfaces all the time.
spaceatl
Ah, you have an edirol...Been a while since I heard about one of those, but I think I "might" know what the issue might be. Something like this has happened before years ago with the Flextone III amps...Basically, as I recall edirols install with echo turned on....You have to turn echo off for a firmware update to work. On those amps, the symptom was the same...Edit would work, but could not flash the amp...Now as far as where that is in the driver I am not sure, I am not sure... Matt_Brown
I ended up changing midi leads to flash my dt25. The 1st set wouldn't work...
