grimjimslim
I bought my mate's FX100 last week and have been very happy with it so far. I've created some tones and shared them to the Amplifi Remote cloud from the app. After I searched some genres in the tone search, I noticed some patches have half a white-colored star next to them, however I haven't been able to work out how to rate the patches myself. Some of the patches with these half stars are terrible and I'd like to reduce their rating if possible, to help other people avoid them (would also like to promote a couple which I've been really impressed with). How do you rate other people's patches? Or if can't, how do these star ratings (well, all I've seen so far is half-stars...) work?
Jaguar9080
The interface for the FX100 must be different. For the Amplifi 75/150, you can rate each patch on the tone search results page or from the information page for each individual patch. You can't do a half-star rating though. Patches can be rated from 1-5 stars. I find the ratings pretty much useless though. Each patch is going to sound different depending on what guitar you use with it. Unless you're using the exact same guitar set up as the person who created the patch, it won't sound as they intended it. So rating a tone as 1 star because the author used a Gibson SG in the bridge position, and a user has a Strat with single coil pups, isn't fair to the author or the tone. silverhead
The half star rating would be an average of the total ratings. For instance if five people rated the tone with 2 stars and five rated it with 3 stars the average displayed would be two and a half stars.
