oehman
A feature that would really help speed up the process of stetting up presets and tweaking them would be a folder of Favorites. This would probably be Helix Edit feature and not be available in standalone, but who knows.. So for example, if I want path A to be for guitar, I drag & drop my favorite chain of effects, amp blocks, mixer settings etc. to that path. Then do the same for a vocal mix on Path B. Or if you always like your delay set a certain way, save it as a favorite and drag & drop that instead of the default whenever you want to add a delay If you later find or create a vocal effects chain that you like better, you could save that as a favorite and reload it into each preset. This is a feature in Reaper that works really well when recording &mixing.
bojackey
That is a really good idea. It. Reminds me of similar features in other products. Cakewalk's Sonar has a feature to save/load complex fx chains, and the Boss SY-300's Blend function feature let's swap chunks of settings between patches. Rewolf48
Helix does have something called a "Template" because Digital Igloo in the early discussions talked about creating Templates for this or that, the but we don't really know what they are or how they are used - never seen a Template mentioned on a demo
duncann
I believe the reference to a template is nothing more than a preset, setup in a way to accomplish a specific task.
