toneman2121
nice, clean. i wouldn't think of being critical but i think the only thing that might make your recording better is a little less reverb and a little less high end. perhaps a little more drive to try and get more overtone during your sustained notes. again. i not being critical the recording and playing was very interesting. wolbai
Hi hurghanico, YEP - Moonflower is a good one too! It has this childish impartiality I love sometimes. May be somewhere in the future ... My all time favorite from CS is by the way "Song of The Wind" from the Caravanserai-Album. 6 minutes of pure emotions - hearing that, my heart is getting wide open. The whole album is stellar to me. It has that kind of spiritual level I like in CS playing. And it is played - I am out of words - may be genius, very deep from the soul (no brain-filtered - directly link from soul to fingers), not from this universe to me. wolbai
hurghanico,I like to thank you for your well meaning and motivating feedback regarding my playing style! And your present is awesome to me (and others, will benefit as well) !Never really thought on the chord progression of "Song of the wind", although it sounds very repetitive to me. But the Cmaj7 / Fmaj7 are somehow magic chords to me which turns me always into endless tunes ... Even more the playing style of CS in this song is important. And the initial sentence of the document "When Carlos first heard "Song of the WInd" after it was recorded, he cried uncontrollably ..." doesn't really makes me wonder: that is the only reaction a deep hearted musician can react hearing this type of tunes.Wasn't really aware that the Caravanserai-album was the final cut of the Mark-I Santana-Band (I call it like that). But this explains some things to me which happens later in his further musical career. I already felt somehow the desire of him for more spirituality in his playing style and the musical performance. Especially in that song.I am shure that I am going to play that song somewhere in the future. Not really there at the moment. All the best, wolbai - the RETROMANIAC. bobingram
Excellent playing and tone. I'm a big fan of Santana and you really nailed his tone and feel. I disagree with the first chord though. It's not a Bbsus4, its an Ab/Bb. Try it, it's a subtle difference but you'll hear it.

wolbai
Dear Line6Tony, I have posted several audio examples in Forums like "Line6 Dream Rig" or Group Forums like "James Tyler Variax" which are no longer accessible. I always felt that this is a good contribution to all that WORDS from the users here. At least the comments of the users make me feel like that. I wasn't aware that the terms + conditions on this forum doesn't allow that. And I also do not only want to be tolerated with my posts in such a forum. So I will leave this comment for the rest of this week. I will then delete all my posts and will not post any of this type in the future.
