versaln
Sorry if this has been answered before. I would like to get a variax, but am not a fan of the new style with pickups. I want one of the older 700's. Would it work with the firehawk? Anything I would be giving up?
mcbeddall
The firehawk won't be able to switch tunings for you or the tone knob position but it will switch the models as far as I know
versaln
Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll be getting a newer one.
dcastator
I use the Fire Hawk with a 500 and a 700 Variax. Correct you can't program in alternate tunings, but you can do that on the guitar - all other Fire Hawk capabilities work just fine with the older Variaxs'
silverhead
Not sure whether that was a question or a statement, but just to confirm...... Yes. That's correct. No problem storing and recalling older type Variax models and tone knob positions in a Firehawk preset. If the Variax model happens to include an alternate tuning (that's how it was done on the older versions) then of course the alternate tuning carries through.
