leesteel
Consulting with someone tomorrow about this combo and just wanted to double check my facts here. Variax Workbench will work with the Variax 300 plugged into the HD500 as an interface? The VDI cable will power the Variax 300 without batteries? Patches stored in the HD500 will be able to control which guitar model is selected on the Variax 300? I currently use Variax 500s with an HD500X and I know that all these things work in my scenario with the exception of the Workbench connection. Just need to confirm for someone else with the 300/HD500 scenario.
silverhead
I used a Variax 300 with an HD500 and Variax Workbench for several years and I can confirm that it's a 'Yes' to all three questions. Also, HD500 Edit supports the Variax 300 so you can specify the Variax models while editing presets. Just need to clarify that when you say 'Variax Workbench' you mean the original Workbench, not Workbench HD which does not work with a Variax 300. Charlie_Watt
HD500 yes HD500x no. The HD500x only works with the HD workbench.
