roscoe5
I know it's not Thursday, but would any of you guys jammin' on your Helixes this weekend take these 2 IR's for a spin and give me some feedback? This is the first time I have gotten Helix-usable real IR's. This was huge for me because I failed miserably on the first attempt a few weeks ago. MesRec212_2ioaD_6L6.wav - Mesa Recto 212 V30's, SM57 2in from center/off axis, Mesa Simul 290 power amp w/ 6L6 tubes MesRec212_2ioaD_EL34.wav - Mesa Recto 212 V30's, SM57 2in from center/off axis, Mesa Stiletto Deuce II power amp w/ EL34 tubes Helix IR block High Cut between 5,000Hz-10,000Hz sounds pretty good to me. I've tried both of these with Helix Amp blocks as well as Preamp-only blocks, and I think they work pretty well in both. Up until now (v3), I had only successfully made IR's straight from Amplitube cabs, then the real Mesa amps into Amplitube cabs. Good practice, but I wanted to do the full real thing. Thanks for the flexible IO Line 6! It's a very efficient workflow to setup presets for capture, test, and compare all in the solution for which you are making the IR's! It really helps me to quickly test and compare IR's, and iterate through minor physical adjustments on all of the variables and special sauces :) I love foot edit mode for toggling through IR's so I can quickly pick the best ones.

ricksteruk
I'll give them a go today hopefully. I've not loaded any IRs into Helix yet so I have a whole (BIG) new world to explore
