yau1ja
Hello, my Toneport GX is turning my computer on everytime guitar cable is inserted into/removed from device. Computer is not in sleep mode or anything similar. it is properly shut down. In BIOS everything related to "wake from ..." is disabled. If I disconnect toneport from PC (while shut down), connect it again, and try to insert/remove guitar cable, the PC will not start... When computer is turned on everything is working as it should Operating system is Windows 7 Professional (if needed i will provide component list) Driver version is 4.0.2.6 Is this a normal/expected behaviour? Can it be that PC / Toneport is malfunctioning in any way? How can i disable this? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. BillBee
Maybe the computer finds the lil GX sexy. :) Seriously, though I have always disconnected my UX (and gear in general) prior to shutting down. I would suspect it is something with the PC's mobo which is detecting the connection regardless of the bios settings. The battery on the mobo keeps things running (clock for one and who knows what else) so while the OS is not loaded there is something running.
