MIKEY9966
So i am waiting to pick up this beast and have looked all over online for a set up i think you can do but not sure now, and am not the sharpest tool in the shed any help would be great. i want to use my JTV to have acoustic go to studio monitors or power speaker and my heavy electric sound go to my DT 25 or other amp. i am thinking the 1/4 outs to the DT and maybe a effect loop out on Helix to the monitors and be able to switch between them or use them together. or should i just use full range speakers or just the dt 25 thanks
bartnettle1
I think this wont be such a bother while you trial thru and get to grips with it first up, I'd stick with Studio monitors. You could do what is familiar for you first then you'l know how it works as well and can decide for yourself best way to route..
PeterHamm
What you want to do is going to be super easy. There are a BUNCH of ways to do it, including L6 Link to the DT amp.You will, obviously, HAVE to use a VDI cable, not a standard guitar cable, to go from Variax to Helix. MIKEY9966
So what you are saying I can use the Line 6 link to the DT 25 amp and the quarter inch out to the studio monitors and toggle between them that would be awesome if it works really looking forward to getting my helix thanks for the reply

I do two voice on almost every patch!
DarrellM5
I run my JTV-69 into Helix via the VDI cable. I run Helix to my DT25 via L6 Link. I run Helix to my PA speakers via XLR (although 1/4" would work). I run Helix to my Peavey 6505 MH amp in 4-cable method. I run a BeatBuddy into a Helix effects return and out to the PA as well. I do all of these things within the same patch and can send just about anything anywhere. I send acoustic sounds to the PA. I also send effects like delays and reverbs to the PA. I send clean electric sounds to the DT25 and sometimes the PA as well. High gain sounds go to the DT25 and the 6505 with the effects going to the PA. It's as much fun to put a patch like this together as it is to actually play it.

MIKEY9966
Well that's fantastic to hear but you didn't explain how this is accomplished could you maybe post your patch or explain how to route different out to different amps. Also when you plug into your DT 25 do you have all topologies shut off or does the Line 6 link act as it affects return Thanks
