talonmm
On some early Beatles songs I'm playing, I use a very clean tone that works well on my POD HD500. During solos, I need to increase my volume, but I'm having trouble finding an effect in the POD HD 500 hardware that can boost my volume without adding gain and overdrive. I'd like to accomplish this with an effect as I'm not a fan of playing out and using the volume pedal. Currently I'm using the Parametric EQ as a boost as it seems to add some volume without causing the sound to become overdriven. But it seems it's not enough of a volume boost. Any suggestions of another effect I can try? thanks!
dhewer
Try this. Hope I did that correctly? Not sure how to copy other posts.... http://line6.com/support/topic/13668-increase-volume-of-a-patch-without-altering-sound/?hl=increase+volume
cclement
I've been running the Tube comp as my "solo boost" for a while now... no real compression, just a gain bump. Other jumper the FX Send/Return together and use a bump in the Return level to get the boost. Either way works fine.
pfsmith0
Try the Studio EQ. It's clean and has a lot of boost capability.
talonmm
Try the Studio EQ. It's clean and has a lot of boost capability. The Studio EQ worked very well! It offered more of a boost than the Parametric EQ and did not add overdrive! The tube compression, set for no compression did change the clean tone. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!
