jbrown3429
Is there a way to tame the "tap dancing" effect of using tons of pedals on the Helix? I need to figure out if there's a way that I can make turning ON one Footswitch can, at the same time, turn OFF another Footswitch off? For instance, our lead guitar player has 3 foot switches that are his clean tone "always on" tone shaping pedals...they sound great. But, when he kicks on his overdrive....it doesn't sound so good. It would be great if, somehow, by kicking on his overdrive Footswitch it TURNS OFF the 3 foot switches that are his "always on clear tone" pedals. Is that possible with the Helix? silverhead
You can assign multiple FX blocks to the same footswith. Then Save the preset with each FX turned on or off individually as desired for one combined state. Henceforth the FS will toggle all assigned FX on/off simultaneously. In your case, assign all four FX to the same FS. Turn on the three FX used for the Clean setting and turn off the overdrive. SAVE the preset in that state. When recalled, pressing the FS will turn all 3 Clean FX off and will turn the overdrive FX on.

Sounds like a perfect and very simple use case for snapshots. Snapshot 1 = 3 tone shaping pedals on, overdrive off. Snapshot 2 = 3 tone shaping pedals off, overdrive on. It's very simple to do on the Helix. Press Snapshot 1 button for clean tone, snapshot 2 button for overdrive. I think this would operate exactly like you are wanting.
jbuhajla
Both of those two scenarios above work great!
schonema
Expression pedal can be set to turn, say 3 blocks on. But only this way (from heel to toe) 0-33% Block 1 on. 33-66 Block 2 also on 66-99 Block 3 also on
